- The Mil Mi-24 was retired from Hungarian Air Force at 2013, but they were sent to overhaul last year, so they came back to the fleet at the beggining of 2019. One of the "new" ferst demonstration flights of the Mi-24 took place in Szolnok practice days.
The Mil Mi-24, named HIND, is a large helicopter gunship and attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force, its successors, and more than 30 other nations.

When I was a kid, I thought the Hind was the ugliest helicopter ever. Now that I'm an adult with kids of my own, this thing is absolutely beautiful and terrifying at the same time. I hope to take my kids to see one up close one day.

Huey UH-1, nothing beats a helicopter which eminates the song Fortunate Sun by CCR, and it is still a usefull light utility helicopter to this day.

Way better than American Apache, an unreasonably expensive for no reason. This Hind is like a Toyota Corolla, the best car in the planet.
They do different jobs bro. I prefer the Mi-24 as well, but as far as tank busters go the AGM-114L on the Apache is way better than 9M120M Ataka.

Imagine your in a T-72 advancing across the Fulda Gap, all is well as you and your buddies meet no resistance. You start humming to your self a little tune and reach into a stowage box to grab a ration for a snack. Just as you pull on the packaging you hear a strange whooshing noise then suddenly you feel a searing heat and intense pressure and your lights are out. You’ve just experienced death by the latest short-band radar guided anti-armor missile fired from so far away you couldn’t hear the Apache Longbow over the breeze. While your mother and father morn the loss of their beloved son, the Apache pilot adds another tally mark under his canopy seal, never to think about you again.

Chiếc Mi-24 hay Mi-35 hiện nó chỉ nên sử dụng cho lực lượng đặc nhiệm vì nó có khoang chở quân nên rất hoàn hảo đổ quân đặc nhiệm và yểm trợ hỏa lực trên không nếu cần , vừa qua người Nga đã dùng nó ở chiến trường Ukr và bị bắn rơi khá nhiều thật là đáng tiếc vì không phải nó yếu kém mà chính là họ đã sử dụng nó sai cách không phù hợp khi đối thủ không phải là các tổ chức khủng bố như IS, Alqaida ... mà là quân đội chính quy trang bị vũ khí Nato , chứng tỏ chỉ huy QS của Nga đã bị thui chột sau nhiều thập kỷ không thực chiến .Chiếc Mi-24 nếu dùng cho đặc nhiệm còn hoàn hảo hơn chiếc Mi-17 nhiều , chiếc Mi- 17 chỉ nên dùng để đổ quân bằng đường không số lượng lớn như kiểu UH-60 Blackhowk của Mỹ như trong cuộc chiến tranh VN trong quá khứ thập niên 60-70 của TK20 . Chiếc Mi-24 khó XK vì nó quá lớn , nó chỉ phù hợp với Nga do nước Nga có diện tích quá rộng lớn , nếu người Nga muốn XK thì cần thu nhỏ lại cho phù hợp với đa số QG diện tích rất hạn chế , tuy nhiên nó cần được cải tiến khá nhiều nhược điểm như khẩu súng 25 mm nòng kép ở mũi không linh hoạt đa hướng như khẩu 30 mm của chiếc UH-64 của Mỹ hay khẩu 20 mm 3 nòng của chiếc ATK-129 của Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ , hệ thống điện tử trên khoang cũng khá lạc hậu so với các trực thăng Mỹ và Nato khiến nó không có khả năng bay luồn lách trong đô thị hoặc bay cực thấp bắt bám địa hình do không được trang bị các cảm biến ..., nói chung nó tốt nhưng cần được nâng cấp về công nghệ và cách sử dụng nó mới giúp nó hiệu quả hơn và khả năng sống sót cao hơn .....
