@@Spioo1 this is only one of the multiple endings from the original game. There is another ending where he chooses the other girl. The game isn't available in english yet however.
I truly love this anime, I use to hate the ending, but after some time I actually like the ending. It would be a toxic relationship if he chooses the pink-haired girl again since he already moved on, he went through stages of grief when she got into a coma, he went into depression and was losing hope, the blue-haired girl was there for him during those dark times. I remember that the MC and the blue-haired girl actually liked each other in the anime from the beginning. I realize that all three of them were having a hard time. One of the best shoujo for me tbh.
Agreed. The triangle love. But I feel bad for Takayuki though cause he's in the middle of love and he got to go with Haruka or Mitsuki. Poor Takayuki. He having a hard time and all the blame and wrongs he get by the others. This anime truly the saddest and very romantic anime ever in my opinion. 😔
I remembered watching this anime in 2006/2007 just love the opening intro and the song, but kinda sad that a lot of people saying that this anime was pretty bad and poor writing and all that. I pretty much enjoy this anime with all the love, the romance, and the sadness going on. To me this feel very nostalgia and brings back so much memories. 😭😭😭
the only thing i can remember is the clothes sprawled on the floor when the girl opened the door, i thought that the guy cheating on her until now i still of think that guy is a cheater. Never had the chance to rewatched it again after 10 yrs lmaooo so im not sure if im right lol. BUT hey i did never forgot this song tho, one of my favorites
Me too. I love the opening song as well. The song has the sadness and happiness vibe that makes you gonna cry and happy at the same time. Love this anime so much.
I watch this back then. I fully understand why things had to flow as they did. In the end all of them were victims of circumstances and no one was at fault. Things just happened as they are. Either you accept or deny it. But reality is there. Blue haired girl gave up on her dreams just to support the MC. MC was emotionally wracked and barely taking care of himself. Had the Blue haired girl didn't do what she did MC would have off himself. (Yes that was wrong. But given their teens and no adults helping them its kinda hard to make a good decision out of desperation and depression.) In the end the true villain if we can call it that was the one who caused the accident.

i always sided with girl with blue but felt so sad for the og girl.. i hated the situation but was more drawn to the blue hair so it worked out but it all sucked lol
Is was pissed asf too, for a long time i hated that blue hair girl but the episode when she's trymna help him get over his depression made me go from hating to being okay with her presence, especially that octopus and whale cup scene😭

Hayase and the Suzumiya sisters are characters in the second half of Alternative, Akane also has a cameo in Extra. I think it's just a nod to Rumbling Hearts, also probably enhances the emotional impact for those with nostalgic memories of it.

It was so sad 😭 to watch this anime. It teaches us to appreciate life to the fullest. You don't know what the future will bring.
