Not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my brother for the last couple of weeks =)
My fav is Nina her power vocals are crazy, on second thought I like Mayuka as her speed rapping is crazy, but Rima's emotional emphasis on her rapping and modelish visuals is great so her. Then again there is Riku and her huge ability to project that gap in stage vs real life. No it's Maya the swan who can project such beauty. Correction Ayaka cause her beauty and quiet demeanor just does it for me. Though along that line there is Miihi who just has that soothing voice that it is definately her. That is until the hard dancing comes in which is Mako. But then they switch to the elegant dancing sections and I just have to stan Rio. Then Nina hits those high power notes and I start over again and I melt... again... Life is just so tough. I need to watch the video again to calm down and get my happy vibe.

They were picked in a reality show called Nizi Project which was aired in early 2020 and Nizi is Japanese for rainbow. NiziU debuted on Dec 2, 2020.
Nice reaction! My favorite member is tied with Riku and Rima(both have great personalities), with Miihi sneaking back up there too. Step and a Step was their debut song, it's officially described as "a song with a warm message to give to people all over the world who are having hard times in 2020," but there's lots of fan theories that it's dedicated to Miihi who missed out on all the promotions during this time do to health issues(she got super skinny in a short time), plus it supposedly was written for the girls themselves regarding them overcoming their struggles in the Nizi Project. The upcoming Poppin' Shakin' should have a similar vibe to this one tho, very upbeat and fun. They also have a dance video for Baby I'm a Star which you might want to check out. It's off their pre-debut album, and of course the cute pre-debut Make You Happy which became a super mega hit in Japan.
As far as guides one of the earliest and still one of the best I've seen so far is (un)helpful guide to niziu + nizi project final rankings. The text can go by pretty fast tho. A more recent one is titled simply An Unhelpful Guide to NiziU and it's text goes by even faster. Be ready to hit pause quickly. Lots of good moments in it tho.

The music video filming location is also an amusement park in Korea. Please note that niziu is not a girl group made in Japan.
