Lyrics:
Where it began, I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
Then spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along
Hands, touching hands
Reaching out, touching me, touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
But now I
Look at the night and it don't seem so lonely
We filled it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I'm holding you
One, touching one
Reaching out, touching me, touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
Oh no, no
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
Sweet Caroline
I believe they never could
Sweet Caroline

You cant sing this song with out singing the "BUM BUM BUM"
+Tessa popham Not if you're from New England!
that's my favorite part
sure you can, it sounds like the physical manifestation of blasphemy, but it can be done.
+Jennifer Welly me also
+Tessa popham that part's the best part
No matter your age, you know this song. A classic for all ages to enjoy and sing along to.
Getting so goosebumps when hearing entire Wembley Stadium going nuts and singing this..

+John Wagner I know a friend who works for The Riverdogs, a minor team affiliated to the Yankees. was running stadium music. played this song. A burley Yankee's fan came in with a heavy newyorkern accent cussing him out for playing a sox song.
+John Wagner "U deserve to gyet fyred fer playin this shit"

My mum's called Caroline and we just got bad news she's got cancer and I can't stop playing this 😭😭
I wish y’all the best 🙏
Almost sounds incorrect without people shouting "bah bah bah" and "so good so good so good". Power of marketing
+amlnet49 I think you're supposed to do that part yourself
+amlnet49 the labatt blue commercial? just looked it up, hadnt seen it before
+DieChaosBohne No I was referring to Fenway Park and the Red Sox, which the commercial also was
+amlnet49 haha i was thinking the exact same thing.
+amlnet49 Went to karokee night at a bar and we got plastered and we did the bah bah bah when my brother sang, was an awesome night.
A party is not complete without this song. Fact.
well, it depends on what kind of party :D
@@gabrielacruz4071 It doesn't matter. If it's a party, it has to play this song

What an artist! What a song! I started listening to this song when I was 11-12yrs old. Never got tired of it then and now!
Hello Julie 😊
MERCHIE
My word.
This is the first time I listened to the actual song; all the other times it's just been people singing; so I honestly thought that the lyrics were, "Sweet Caroline, buh buh buh."
Hahaha, that's adorable.

Coptin01010 It is not really that funny.

My husband and i play this song aloud when we are driving along the long roads of Canada and USA and sing at the top of our voices much to the amusement of our child. Wonderful, love these roads and countries. I am from England.
Classic pub song, everyone in England knows this song. It was on at every party growing up. It’s still a hit everybody always joins in.

I wonder if people from the 70-80's thought. Wow I'm in the wrong generation. I liked 50's music so much more... Who know... Ask a old person
well my gramps likes Boston and they're from the 70's. it's not the time period. it's the music.
No, because at that time their music wasn't a bunch of hip hop bullshit like Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber. This kind of music from Neil Diamond and all of the 70's and 80's performers is just as good as it was back then.
+BPK5 Well, there was alot of trash along with the classics we know today. And many of them probably had a sense of grass is greener on the other side when thinking back on the 50s
people have experienced "golden age syndrome" since recording time itself
Teenagers in the 60's didn't really listen to music from the past that often. Both because there was so much good music being made then and because they couldn't go on the internet and listen to a song like we can today.
I feel so lucky being around when music reached its zenith(60's). During the 60 and 70's music was like this every week. Themes were celebrating life. This tune says it all about that era.
When I was in high school band we would all sing this together all the time. The memories never go away. Class of 2020 man.
ok
ok
ok
Class of 2023 buddy! I'm almost there myself and we love to sang too! Lol

Never feels right when you dont hear anyone singing "BUM, BUM, BUM" and "SO GOOD! SO GOOD! SO GOOD!"
We definitely deserve to need this playing if England gets to the final or the Semi-Final of the World Cup
I KNOW RIGHT
quite hopeful you are there lol QF at best
@@keeemon4451 qf at least you mean?
@@keeemon4451 should've been final at least but fair play to the french.
do you guys realize teens in like the year 2058 will be listening to one direction and being all like, "I was born in the wrong generation" and have vintage ugg boots and Justin Beiber posters... that's worse than anyone in this generation bitching about being born in the wrong generation now. just you wait... it gets worse 😂
It always gets worse. Means we're getting old.
yeah lol cause music will just get infinitely bad forever right
I doubt people will be like that
yes.
IAmTorture people will always be like that. There will always be people in the next generation bitching about their generation and saying how much they liked the generation before and how they belong in that generation. It's been happening for years now.
This song got played at my prom last week... literally turned into the best atmosphere! Not one person didn't sing a long to this, especially the BUM BUM BUM part, it was bloody brilliant

I remember as a little kid, going to this park with my dad, and listening to this song, just me, him, and my sister.
So much time has passed since then. So much. I come back to this song and it makes me cry. Funny, it's the only song, and it's such a happy song.
I loved my father with everything in my heart, and I feel so sad that I didn't spend enough time with him. But I come back to this song, and I remember all the things I *did* do with him, and suddenly, I don't feel so bad. I feel this sad warmth, and it makes me smile.
Sweet Caroline, everyone.

Honestly impressed
...
This is the song that they always put on at the end of the basketball games at my school, and it always feels so great to hear it every time we win. And then having everyone singing along is just so great. I'm really gonna miss this
The first time I ever heard this song it was my schools late bells. So two months later everyone in the hallways screamming sleeep caroline. Never realizing its actually sweet caroline. At football games wed all scream it so the whole eighth grade acting like seventh graders holding onto eachother screaming the lyrics. I think we all looked like we were high on something either that or drink of our butts.
Love this song as a kid & to this day. Song lives forever. 😀💝💿
Sometimes I don't feel old, but when I listen to this music I remember how old I am, 58.
Every time I now hear this it will remind me of the England fans at the euros 2021 and England football teams great run to the finals.
Have to learn the words now ,come on England
That's exactly what I'm doing got to be able to sing it word for word by Sunday 😊
