Siempre me quedo extasiado cuando artistas orientales interpretan música clásica. son muy dedicados y creo que deben serlo doblemente por que es una música ajena a su cultura tradicional; así que mi admiración es doble. ¡¡Son excepcionales!!
The amount of hours she took to master this piece! This is really Classical Clarinet at its finest! Well done girl. You are truly an amazing Clarinet player. I appreciate how much effort it took you to do this.
This young lady reminds me of Donna Mukoyama, 1985 graduate of East Meck, who I sat beside 7th, 8th & 9th grades in band at McClintock Jr. High. She inspired me to practice & study hard to become a wonderful clarinet player, & for her inspiration & leadership, I am eternally grateful! Donna, I hope life has brought you many blessings!
Very enjoyable! I am happy for a number of reasons: never even heard of Stamitz before. Great find! Also, this clarinetist sounds very good. Maybe not a Sabine Meyer, but quite good. And look at that gown! Stamitz sounds to me like one of Bach's sons, maybe Johann Christian, with a bit of Mozart mixed in. I LOVE Baroque music, probably more than any other style or period (except maybe, Jaco Pastorius' "The Chicken"). Thank you for posting.
Eu simplesmente não consigo descrever esse desempenho. De Deus. É fantástico. Todas essas passagens escala jogado tão fluentemente. #QuandoDeusFazETocaSuaMúsica
Really beautiful, crisp tone... I've been playing for six years, and I know I'm not that bad, but there's so much difference between my playing and hers. Kudos!
Congratulations! You have a good mastery of the clarinet. The orchestra followed you very well too. I liked very much. Show. Parabéns! Você tem um bom domínio do clarinete. A orquestra também te seguiu muito bem. Eu gostei muito. Show.
yeah it is. Me being a musician myself, I know it's a very difficult thing to learn. And by the way, humans didn't exist during the "dawn of time." lmfao.
Well, there are better and not so good musicians and lerners. Please, as a musician, prove that not everything or nothing existed during the dawn of time.
I was just making a positive comment about this woman and her musicianship, idk why you have to be so negative when I'm just trying to compliment the girl. lmao chill out.
+Emily Minard Yes, she's doing impressive, flawless circular breathing. I don't see the point of the out of scope comments of Ping Pong. Some people don't have enough maturity or knowledge for appreciating great performers.
Not sure why this showed up again because I was looking for most recent uploads. Oh well, not really complaining. Sounds beautiful. Interesting gold plated keys or whatever they're made of.
The elder Stamitz' clarinet concerto was not among the very first - I think these were written by Johann Molter a few years earlier. But it is certainly far more interesting, musically, than Molter's works, on a par with those of his son Carl Stamitz.
Superb modern instrument performance. I'd like to hear her on the 5-key clarinet with 2-2-1-1-1 strings, where it would be much lighter. Also, I object to the circular breathing. There are plenty of places to breathe, and eliding them runs phrases together. Nevertheless, of this kind, it's as good as it could be.
fantastic I rediscovered Stamitz, as though he had waited globalization to make himself heard again. But what does he mean this hardcore of conventional music to them.? And how do they make alive again ?Have we missed something? But anyway thanks again for the beauty.
I'm playing this for a solo contest and I can play the notes and rhythms fine as well as the style, but idk how to get the high notes to sound less harsh and more like the calm lower notes. Can anyone help plz?
Does anyone know what her setup is? I can see she is using what looks like might be a Backun barrel, but as for the rest of her setup I cannot tell. Such wonderful clarity in her tone. Fantastic. I much prefer listening to her play as opposed to Martin Frost.
Hello. Thank you for your kind coment. Her Bb clarinet is Buffet R-13 pink gold key millenium limited model by 2000. Also, she's using Chadash barrel by NY and Dongjin Kim mouthpiece by Seoul. If you want order Dongjin Kim mouthpiece, please email me. Thank you!! (nfamusic@hanmail.net)
Beautiful clarinet tone
When I play my clarinet...
-SQUEAAKKKKKK-
+Shlok Maharjan I actually don't squeak anymore :) Thank you though.

Tone, articulation and technique are lovely.

She is a professor.

What a fabulous player...listen at 6:00 for the first movement cadenza, and a little surprise that she handles like a pro...
¡Magnífica interpretación! Impresionante el amplio registro del clarinete.

Heavenly with graceful melodies. Best Wishes.
Impressionante como o sudeste asiático se curvou aos encantos da música ocidental!!!
Delightful!

She was doing some circular breathing. Impressive.
+Emily Minard Humans have been doing it since the dawn of time. It is nothing special.

bravo

she is amagazin
It looks like she is circular breathing ie. using her cheeks as a bellows while she fills her lungs through her nose. Pretty cool!
Maybe she should take up bagpipe playing. Hoots mon

Higher chance to find beautiful women playing the clarinet at the concert. =)

Awesoke, Stephen and also Id say it takes a little muscle memory to have a perfect embouchure for those high notes
What a good sound!! What kind of mouthpiece and reed is she using ?

Eine sehr schöne Darbietung. Gute Musik findet eben überall auf der Welt ihre Liebhaber!

Beautiful rendition, lovely sound. Very, very musical. What reeds do you use and strength?
Ron Shields well read size depends on your mouthpiece and yourself. Personally I use 3.5, but go for whatever size you like the best

Monsieur Man Yeah you're right, being asian I guess she didn't even need to practise
Memory training that's all
i hate long expositions where the soloist just stands there twiddling their thumbs.
+Ping Pong 15-0
I played the third movement last year with an orchestra and during the breaks my hands were sweating like crazy!
