When I watch Songs of War again, I'm gonna be watching THIS because it has the full story.

“Full” is a broad way to put it, as we are missing some episodes because of them not being animated.
The animation is pretty good, but the sound design really needs an upgrade. No hate to the animators tho, sound design isn't their specialty.

It's tragic that season 2 and 3 got cancelled but seeing the community finish it is just heartwarming. I'm truly glad that we got to see the rest of the episodes animated.
For anyone who doesent know season 1 was made by black plasma studios (squared media) and season 2 and 3 are fan made.
The reason why black plasma (squared media) never made season 2 and 3 is because they never made enough money to continue producing more content.
That's why the voice acting and animations are 10 times worth 😅

@@loranelson8476not necessarily, the series was cancelled long before that happened. He made videos about developing a video game for about two years after songs of war was cancelled, and then he was exposed.

Songs of war was my childhood and I loved all of it.
I remember watching Songs of War back when it first came out and I fell in love. But I was super bummed when I heard it was canceled and no other studios had continued seasons, so I forgot about it altogether. Now here I am 4 years later.
for those who dont know, the original creator of songs of war, had groomed one of the younger interns at black plasma studios, which was the main reason songs of war never got finished, its also the reason for the name change to squared media

, the real reason is that it didn't generate as much profit as it should've to continue the future seasons
This project definitely has its flaws, but I’m glad the community was able to finish it. Well done, all things considered.

Apparently the production for the show is back in the equation, they just need the money to actually make it. So if they hit their goal we may eventually see a fully realized s2-s3 of SOW.

unfortunately, it has been shown that David did some.. bad things in the studio, the main director of this story. it is possible... but unfortunately unlikely. Don't get me wrong I would love to see this as well. But it most likely won't :C

Wow This story is really a masterpice and I like how the Community created season 2 and 3.
It is sad that the originaly animaters canceld this story. But I was happy that I could watch the end and thank you all who finished the story👏

when voice acting Denny Pinkolson i'd never thought i'd see the footage of the death of the character. Thank you for this it gave me closure. I hope to come back is some way.

I can not express this enough, Songs of war has to be one of the greatest pieces of fiction ever created
These storylines are great but the budget cut on visual effects and voicing is such a difference compared to the original studios
It's because the fanmades don't have a budget literally, it's a bunch of volunteer work.
Season 2 is basically fairly mid from the Animation Work. Just needs some polishing and revoicing. That would be it already. Season 3 Howeverw, since its the last season has neither the complete Animation, nor anything alot so far really.
The knights of ardonia, with one Animator from Black plasma studios tried a bit, but they could only make the first episode of season 2 animated almost as good as the first movie

I was never a fan of the Minecraft movies but when I saw this, it was perfect for me!! Heroic action and violence throughout, and other things too that were my taste! There actually was one at one point. The modded server that it was on though was forced to shut down this February due to not enough financial support. It was really cool when it was up though. They might open it back up they said if enough people want it to be i read somewhere so maybe voice your opinion.

Well if I remember correctly than this is actualy kindof how Black plasma studio (Squared media) imagend the storry continuing as thay put theire ideas for other seasons somwhere for other fans to continue the story as thay cudnt (I am not sure why or if this is even true but I heard it somwhere)
Sort of.
All of these animations are based off the season script drafts they released a few years ago.
But they are drafts, meaning everything in them was subject to change later on during production. I know there were commentary videos done by the director where he said that certain aspects would have been changed, like entire characters changing personality wise or certain scenes getting cut.
SQM plans to bring back S2 and 3 if they get funding but they also plan to make massive changes to the scripts that essentially make the two projects their own versions.

I hope to release more on that in hopefully at the latest 2029. I can say though, that it will be a full length movie at about 1¾-2½ hrs long and it will be based off of this movie as a sequel. I feel like you should clarify in the description that most S2 and 3 episodes are made by different people which is why they look different to each other.
And also could explain why S3 is as unfinished as it is.

@@Turbulation1 Perhaps. I am thinking about it. The only problem is I don't think I should do it the way I did again. It ended up being more of a hit than I originally anticipated. So if I was to do it again I would ask each creator if it's alright.
Wishing they’d just contact these fans to pay or to let them know they’d just polish or correct the animations
Squared Media if they ever do make SoW S2/3 on their own, would essentially rewrite and change a lot of stuff about the Season's scripts to make it more of their own and improve writing.

As much as I love it and I don't wanna hate on it, there are quite a few errors with continuity and audio balancing. I feel like fans should have worked on it more to make the quality better
Various different studios/people with different visions worked on S2 and S3 stuff.
Getting most fans to work together is impossible, due to differing ideas and skillsets for the series.
