I cried so hard when shoya fell when saving shoko and about to say "I think that I might love you" but didn't, then shoko's mom and little sister apologizing to shoya's mom and then shoko saying she's sorry to the mom. Then, shoko crying at the bridge and shoya showed up, them together and okay and her saying its her fault, and the ending of the movie of him finally overcoming his fear and crying made me so happy with tears of joy and sadness. But to be honest I loved the movie and it has became my new favorite one of them all and maybe one day ill show this to my children and so they can continue watching this movie and hoping they will pass it on for me because deep down I will never forget this movie.

Just finished watching A Silent Voice for the first time. I hardly ever cry for movies or books even if they hit hard I still tend to keep a composed face. But this movie had be balling and sobbing on the floor twice in one day. The ending scene was beautiful.

it really sucks conventional animation is being turned away by big animation companies/not showing as big projects by ex-enterprising animation companies like Pixar, and so while movies like the emoji movie are being shown worldwide and in all theaters, traditional Jpanaese animation is being overlooked.
But, Your Name was confusing as fuck... Sorta defies logic.... I like The Shape of Voice better than Your Name because it was not confusing and more interesting.

I just finished the manga. Silent voice was the only peace of fiction that actually made me sob, not just tear up, I was sobbing for real. I want to say so many good things about this manga/film and I can't find the words. It's perfect

One thing i really liked about this movie was how they showed events playing out differently in others minds. Such as in the beginning you saw them all supporting the bullying in their own way. But when it was time to confess who was doing it, they all acted innocent and blamed it on one person. Just not taking responsiblity for your own actions, happens so much in real life even between family. Yes someone might be more wrong than another person, but that doesn't mean you were 100% innocent, you could of handled something differently instead of pushing all the blame onto one person. Besides that i'm really surprised i ended up liking Naoka at the end because i thought she was going to be that 1 dimensional mean girl, but i really understood where she was coming from at the end. Anyways, it was a nice movie that highlighted everyone shows and is effect by things differently, and the ending gave off a "life started moving forward for them" Kinda feel.

This is really deep and all but can we all appreciate Nagatsuka being the most chad best friend...Shoya became his first best friend and he cherished it..he was always there for him..he got his back like how he gave shoya money when he needed it..defends him when people look at shoyo in a bad way..looked for his bike all day after bieng borrowed and never returned..and still manges to forgive shoyo after getting dissed on the bridge.
Literally saw this movie in theaters Jan 28th as a fathom event and damn was it a heart breaker to something so depressing and beautiful 😔💔 I’ll definitely be adding this movie to my collection April 2nd when it comes out on Blu-ray.

One thing I will say is that everyone blamed Shoko for feeling depressed and suicidal and she thought she needed to change but she didn’t it was everyone else around her that needed to. I think that the sadness and the way they connect is important. But the most important thing in my opinions is how we can relate to all the characters.

It takes a bit to get me to cry, I am not a huge fan of the term “masterpiece” very much and feel it is thrown around too much in a lot of cases, and I don’t give many 10/10’s when it comes to most things. But you know what? A Silent Voice is not only a true masterpiece, is a 10/10, and I cried out a lake of tears rather loudly for a good half hour after I watched it. Not only my favorite anime, but my favorite movie of all time as well. Saying Masterpiece still doesn’t do this movie anywhere near enough justice to me...

But you know what? A Silent Voice is not only a true masterpiece, is a 10/10, and I cried out a lake of tears rather loudly for a good half hour after I watched it. Not only my favorite anime, but my favorite movie of all time as well. Saying Masterpiece still doesn’t do this movie anywhere near enough justice to me...
