UPDATE: It seems like the upgrade shards from Airdrops may be limited to Carry Capacity and Skill XP shards. Cyberware Capacity shards appear to be more rare and I will try to figure out the best way to get them and make a new video covering it. Apologies for the misinformation!
Have you ever run into a situation where the box is locked with no way to hack into it? Just ran into this now; I can see the contents are inside, and scanning it shows there is a powered access point, but no matter what direction I approach the box from, a red box with text LOCKED pops up next to the box. Ended up just leaving that one behind.
Love the airdrops, plenty of loot from enemies and 100% chance of 2lbs of additional carry weight for each one you grab
If the loot doesn't spawn in, before breaching the thing do a save, close the game, and then reload it.
Wish someone creates a mod that makes the airdrops more frequent(possibly to the point there's an airdrop wherever you go)
Heard some complaints about the air drops, vehicle contracts or other gigs for PS5 users. After competing those jobs, a save data file gets corrupted. Best play carefully or wait till patch 2.01 arrives to solve the problem.
Iconics weapons DOES spawn from these supply crates( and its seem like those iconics can only be found in these crates) which has unique ability to apply special burn effect to enemies,i only found 3 of them so far and they pretty good to say the least, could be more or not but i definitely keep an eye on those supply crates, just in case.
You got the iconic Metal revolver with burn from air drops? I've been grinding hours out of them and I've yet to get it. I'm starting to think it won't drop at all.
@@pointnemo72 Yes one Iconic Metel revolver ( Taigan)one Iconic Rt 46 Burya revolver (Laika),and one iconic Polhzar shotgun( Alabai), those are exclusive from airdrop i believe, dunno there are more but i keep and eye out , justtttt in case.
Oh and i heard ppl said that you need to be lv 40 and above for it to drop, so maybe you are under level maybe??

I'm at max level, but I haven't progressed the main story very far. So maybe it has to do with both, level and story progress.
Iconic spawn in specific coded areas... and are either very rare or bugged for a lot of people.
The Tiagan spawns on the roof with the dead trauma team member.
Also u can get iconic weapons/ cyber wear
Idk if it’s a bug or intended but I once taken my sweet time looting the surrounding enemies after killing all of them than the air drop just vanished right before I approach it lol
The iconic weapons don't drop randomly, they drop from very specific drop locations that aren't the normal 5 areas.
They are either extremely rare or bugged for a lot of people as the Tiagan drop point where the crashed trauma team AV is located is the drop point and will drop on that roof, however you either get lucky and get it to drop there OR its bugged for you and you will never get certain iconics as some are unobtainable due to bugs.
Airdrops with no loot.
Kill the enemies near it, its likely they have taken what was inside as some enemies at taken drops have legendary gear on them.
This is either the case or surprise suprise bugged.
So yeah.
They are worth getting if you are lucky enough.
A bug on cyberpunk??? Impossible😂. I beat cyberpunk 100% every difficulty on the og Xbox one those bugs made that look like a “feature”😅
So I'm having trouble getting the Taigan Air drop to spawn and the iconic shotgun. I read their in specific spots and those are the only slots that won't drop. I used to get drops that I had to hack into all the time but now the drops are always already unlocked. They still have tier 5 loot but no iconics. That's why I'm pretty sure the guide for iconic locations is right because the iconics I got were in the locations they listed. So the airdrops for the revolver and shotgun are the only spots that won't drop.
Anyone know Do I need to do more story or did I miss them or something? Also one of the locations listed is right near a mission (where people are boxing and it makes you put your weapons away) I'm thinking maybe it's too close to that mission..

i think i came across at least 1 drop that had a cyberware cap shard but they're definitly a rarity, i'm getting dying light vibes from this go to box kill occupires take the goods

Do the drops actually have cyberware capacity shards? I have done quite a few and reloaded a lot and only seen carrying capacity. Even when the inventory shifted after reload, never saw any.
I know for a fact they can drop skill xp shards. But I don’t know for sure about the cyberware capacity shards. I’ve definitely gotten one but it might have been from an enemy rather than from a airdrop

@@jalough21 it literally falls from sky and i saw this twice roaming around in dogtown. So i guess there are few sites and when you are near them, air drop happens i guess.

Are there any restrictions on the search time? How it would be in the dying light. I came to the drop and according to the script there was a shot. I found a corpse and an open box with nothing in it
Yeah this happened to me once as well. But only on one occasion. Might just be a scripted/small possibility that the container is looted “before” you were able to get there. (Not sure if you can actually get there before it’s looted in this scenario)

i cant seem to get cyberware capacity shards from them. do i have to reach level 60 for them to start spawning?
I think they are rare. It is possible that they only show up at higher levels..
I've gotten two cyberware upgrade shards from two different air drops so far. Level 32.

Is there an effective way to farm these? It seems they always have weapons that have more mod slots open (with the open mod slots being empty sometimes). Really want to grind these as vendors just don’t seem to wanna sell weapons with open unused mod slots.
Sorta, what determines when one will drop seems like a matter of time and location. Whenever an airdrop happens there seems to be a cool down period of roughly 10 real-time minutes before another one will spawn. I don't know if the drop pattern is cyclical, but I've had the best luck moving around the map in a clockwise pattern as it doesn't seem like an airdrop will happen in the same spot twice in a row. Skipping time appears to have little to no effect from my tests. Happy hunting.

1 time when i looted an air drop there was a shard in the called "help me please" which was strange i even look on online and found nothing about i guess its just little useless story info

I’m not entirely sure. You can make a character that starts at level 15 and has the DLC already started if you want though.
It starts right after the voodoo boys missions in Pacifica
I honestly just use these airdrops to get official barghest clothing, anything to further my dream of actually being able to join a gang

Anyone elses airdrops bugged? I killed the guys in the room with the president and didnt get introduced to airdrops i guess. But whenever i go to one and do the hack to acces it theres no loot in them.. every single time. I just get nothing
@janisir4529 funny thing but I actually restarted my ps5 and ever since then all my airdrops work perfectly as intended. Best loot in game for sure too.. try it out and let me know!
@@CF-fj8ns Yea, figured out in the meanwhile. Ran into a lot of bugs that are only resolved by quitting the game.

@ItsShatter thanks for the quick reply. I'm on ps5.. I killed the guys that come into the abandoned room with the president so they didn't prompt me to look at the supply drop. I just noticed it myself when I was done there and went but every single airdrop now has no loot. It's pretty lame tbh.. I didn't encounter a single bug in 2.0 since I started phantom liberty and seems like such a cool dlc. Shame to run into these problems. Unfortunately I don't even have a save that goes back that far either.

Issue is it is such a large part of time to repeat it. Takes way too long.

Those air drops have absolute awful loot. They hyped them so much and I am not going after them anymore. It's more beneficial just getting rid of the enemies you fight for the crate. They drop better loot then the airdrop itself

I completely Phantom liberty four times now. I 100% every single run of it. Yes 100% and did all four possible outcomes.
Those Airdrops have absolutely nothing worth while in them. They have a ridiculously low chance of giving you a few iconic weapons that apply a specific kind of burn. All of them are trash. Like they are god awful. Then you have carrying capacity shards. Nobody cares. The rest is just trash as well.
Doing the vehicle missions for El Capitan gives you much better rewards then those awful airdrops. Anything in this game is better then those Airdrops. If they would GUARANTEE a Cyberware capacity shard then yeah of course. But right now just ignore them. Not worth it
@@requiemagent3014 still a good source for legendaries & attachments tbh, not a lot of other places that net you good source of them once you wrap up all the ncpd scanners and gigs
