X275 class that this competes in can only use a 275-width tire. I'm thinking it's launching smooth because Prochargers build nice easy progressive power.

Love how there's no drama when it launches compared to the cars he's beating.
They have the chassis figured out very well!
Notice how keyboard racers have nothing to say about the chassis? Chassis may not be as sexy as power adders, a big shiny high horsepower motor etc. but those mean nothing if you can't get the power to the ground and go straight. The "no drama" launches represent countless hours of tuning and testing.
Compare them at the first race vs the foxbody. It is "no drama" but it is also very reserved, meaning the challenger could go faster. That foxbody launched considerably better than the challenger and if they could tune just a little bit more wheel-spin in the 60ft they could solve that problem without major changes or bogging the engine down like the challenger does. Also know that the foxbodies are notorious for wheelies because of their short wheelbase if you weren't already aware.
He did tune. That's why he went from a 8.02 to a 6.9
He will never beat this car !

Drag racing is not dying anytime soon. These newer cars definitely seem to have what it takes.
Mopar Magic Even electricity won't kill drag racing. The Tesla P100D makes 705 hp and almost 800 ft lbs of torque. Performance electrics will eventually become affordable.

If drag goes all electric it'll die faster than a spy with a cyanide pill. The whole joy of it is hearing the cars roar, feeling them shake the ground and churn your insides just sitting there. And then they go shooting flames into the air. With an electric car it just a tyre screech and then he's at the end
