Do what ever you want with your 911, but most importantly drive it!
I think it depends on the condition of the car. Restomoding that 993 would be crazy. I own a 77 SC and bought it as a rolling restoration. It was a bit tired with tatty paint and needed a lot doing to it and it also had no history. That gave me a blank canvas to do whatever I wanted with the car. I think I saved the car and gave it a new lease of life. I wouldn’t dream of doing it to a mint original car though.
Love the colour 👍🏆
When presenter calls Cup 2 a fancier wheel it's a sign they don't know much about Porsches.
Porsche enthusiasts appreciate the distinction!
Love that 77 car, and the colour! Please fix that rear shut line where the engine lid meets the wing, looks bad.
Great attention to detail!
Any older 911 doesn’t need to be updated , backdated or tuned in any way. The should be kept original and enjoyed every time possible. 😊😊
It's all about personal preferences, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to enjoying classic cars.
On this level have to be mindful because the mods are can devaluating these cars. As i saw the g model has factory sports seats which is a rare option in base models so it’s worth to keep it. Overall i would not touch either one.
It's always essential to weigh the pros and cons before modifying classic cars!
Good restomods are claiming a very high premium. There were gobs of these made, drive them like you stole them. Their "value" is only due to demand, not according to anything particular about these primitive cars. Lets' remember how aged they were even by 1973. They did not improve much until 1999.
Air cool life 😎
I love the green Porsche, but the front lip is only functional when paired with the rear whale tail for maximum road stability; according to Porsche.
It's a must-see!
This car originally came with a tail. It’s obvious because the badge is mounted lower on the decklid. A factory original 77 Carrera 3.0 would be worth over £100k. This example can’t have the original engine because that would detract the value by £30-40K.
God bless vicky 🎉
Vicki, Mathew and Tom delivering great content!
short answer no. long answer no.
restomod all day long
Resto-mods can be a fantastic way to breathe new life into classic cars!
Of course you should. Pretty old cars with dependable modern engines rock.
993. Most overrated 911 ever.
Go earlier (964 or before) if old school floats your boat, or go GT3, if thrills with a bit more go are what you’re after.
Just my 2p worth. 😜
No !
Not a fan, @buddybeetle? That's okay! Everyone has their unique preferences when it comes to car modifications.
No
The restomod is not impressive. If its a high performance exhaust why is there only 1 tailpipe & that not even straight. Boring colour, New body & changed engine? I would be expecting A "Q" plate in the post from DVLA,
Beware what you put in print.
Boring color??? Maybe not your taste, but definitely not a boring color.
Thanks for your comment. The choice to go with a restomod is subjective, and it's all about individual taste.
Ok. Another new bullshit word invented. What is restomod?
New? 🤣
