Benoni Carvalho I know this song because of my English teacher, she put this song for the listening and the ask questions about it and I download this song 👍🏽
This is incredible! Me and my family are such a big fan of Joe Stilgoe, and we were the family he pointed at at the end of the phillamonic concert on New Year's Eve 2012! It was amazing. I love it! Georgina Duncan xx :)
Driving home and heard this by chance on the Jamie Cullum show. Astounding voice and rendition - reminded me of the first time I heard Jeff Buckley's cover of Hallelujah.
I’m so happy your here and I love your Aura I’ve listened to this song so many times and your version is amazing I can’t even describe how I feel listening to your music thank u for being you ✨✨✨✨
One of the most impressive renditions of Ray Davies' masterpiece of song writing I've heard in years....well done Joe Stilgoe....must buy your album post haste and catch you in concert sometime.....outstanding!
Dirty old river, must you keep rolling Flowing into the night People so busy, make me feel dizzy Taxi light shines so bright But I don't feel afraid As long as I gaze at Waterloo sunset I am in Paradise Every day I look at the world From my window Chilly, chilly is the evening time Waterloo sunset's fine Terry meets July Waterloo station Every Friday night But I'm so lazy don't want to wander I stay at home with dad But I don't feel afraid As long as I gaze at Waterloo sunset I am in Paradise Waterloo sunset's fine
Saw Joe last night in Basingstoke - sorry for giving you the Dambusters to play!!! What musicians - complete cross the board from great standards to brilliant Joe's own songs -some of the best jazz playing I've seen for a while. Marvellous CD but live -fantastic. I hope Joe makes it seriously big
Brilliant. I love RD and the Kinks; this stands on its own merits next to the original, and one of those versions thats as good as an original! Heard it on JC's prog on BBC2.
Better than the original - so soulful and heartfelt. Heard you play this at the Crazy Coqs, Zedel, on Sunday night, and thought it was stunning. You have an amazing talent!
Genius with a capital 'Gee'! Saw Joe and the fellas at Pizza Hut, Maidstone... totally blown away! Joe deserves to be huge (he is currently 5'1" and weighs a meer 7 stone)! Thank you for a wonderful night - inspiring stuff... I can't wait to see your success story unfold...
When I first heard this, I had to park my car because I felt so emotionally charged and moved. To me, this is better than the original by far for its melodic, soulful overtones. The harmonies are more sophisticated. Does this make me sound like a sad wannabe music critic? I want to see this guy live!
Oh my gosh! This is amazing! Love the song! But this is better than the original! Wow you're so talented! Keep doing what you're doing! Such an inspiration!

not good enough to jump on the gentle ballad cover gravytrain your style is bland depressing and derivitive very solemn heartfelt soul on the piano gazing soulfully into space......YAWN.
Watched Him and his trio yesterday in Nottingham, talented group, and a good night out , can recommend.
Took me back in time. An evening with dancing fireflies, starry, starry night and my love with his arms around me...felt like home.
What a really lovely, chilled down version of this Kink's classic tune.
I'm Brazilian, but used this music in english for study new language. I'm pratice e speaking and listening. Thank You.

I find your comment depressing and derivative. :-P
Why the American accent?
Autotune at its best
