Thank you for what you have done in the old days and we look forward to what we will see from you in the new days. Second, if the powers that be at your school keep running their mouth(s) tell them that either they are going to let you do what you need to do in your classroom and end up being ready for the 1st day of school to welcome the students and everything go smoothly or they are going to keep running their mouth(s) and run you out of your classroom for whatever they want to and if the 1st day of school welcoming students turns into chaos it's their fault. In any event keep on handling it like a champ. - Dwight
You can find those small pocket charts at dollar tree. Best of luck with your surgery! And no it’s not weird to turn the special lights on- it’s weird to NOT turn them on!! Definitely leave the computer cart there as well as the student bins by the door. Have even numbers go to cart while odds are at their bins. Then ring the bell and they swap. That should clear up beginning of day and end of day traffic jams. Don’t tell anyone- but at one school I taught at, I’d leave a crack in a window and go in and out that way while the halls were being waxed. And maybe when the hall doors were locked. 😆
I love the doorbell idea for rotating out! I can't stand chaos and commotion, so I typically only send a few at a time. That can definitely be an easy way for them to cycle through the stages of packing up! If it makes you feel any better, someone else said they slid through their windows, too! 😉 Hehe if I wasn't on a second floor, I totally would do the same. And thank you, the surgery went well. Very swollen and achy today, but it'll be worth it in the end. I hope you're enjoying what's left of summer (if you're not back yet, of course!)
