I’ve been a FAMU Marching 100 fan since day 1, but…JSU - RESPECT. Everything from the field formations, overall sound, drum majors, dancers, etc. great performance. 💯

Sonic Boom marching skills are second to none. The state of Texas design was pure brilliance. As a true Sonic Boom supporter, in my opinion I felt they were looking ahead to Florida A&M for the battle of the bands in Miami. However, in my opinion Southern did marvelous as usual two of the best the Swac has to offer.

Great show Boom! We heard about y’all having trouble traveling to Houston! We also all know you’re holding back for the Orange Blossom Classic (vs. FAMU) this weekend and the Southern Heritage Classic (vs.TnST) next weekend. Nonetheless, the band sounds great with the Bruno theme!
I would’ve love to hear that “Leave the Door Open” for the ballad selection but “Versace on The Floor” was arranged well also.

yeah they was holding back..this aint all the band,,these early battles dont give the band time to prepare..but the boom showed they are still to be recked with even with a small amout of time given.

The Boom is gonna forever remain the most hated band. It’s okay, I’ve learn to accept it.
The kids sound good. As the season develops so will their sound. I’m happy to hear trumpets coming through but JSU is use to having trumpets to dominate. Push those kids i know they are capable of changing the narrative. I wish Leave the Door Open would’ve been the ballad and Treasure would’ve replaced one of those songs too. Both were dope arrangements. Overall good performance Can’t wait to see them in person this year 💪🏾!

Very vanilla show. I hate these pre-season battles because they know most bands are going to hold back due to saving the better show for first game and in jsu case they have two major games coming up back to back.

I've watched a few of the bands from this competition. I have to say that I'm not a fan of the arena. i think an outdoor stadium makes for a far sound.

@@the_comfy_pa3da150 I watched the battle of the bands on Facebook live. When JSU took the field, a lot of A&T fans started saying the field show was boring, A&T did a bruno mars themed show years ago, A&T is better than any swac band, meac bands are better. Stuff like that
