Got to love how EVERYONE defending Potter is seeing "Arteta v2.0" in him... despite the fact that Arteta was never THIS bad and he WON the FA Cup for Arsenal early on already. Plus he had a clear plan and direction in mind, something Potter DOES NOT HAVE. Potter is at best comparable to Moyes and Ole (though obviously he's a MUCH worse version of them) - United wasted time and money on backing the wrong managers and we're doing the exact same thing right now. Those players are not relegation level, Potter is simply making them look like they are. Also Potter may be proven in the Premier League... but De Zerbi is doing better at Brighton than him, so maybe that team had more potential and Potter simply was holding them back?

Idk what your on but Arteta was WAY WORSE. Arsenal used to get routinely slapped up 3-0 by relegation threatened teams.

Tuchel went to 2 domestic cups last season and should have won both. Potter did well at the beginning not because of his tactics but tuchel foundation. Chelsea fans have seen 100s of managers come into the club we've developed a little bit of knowledge about good coaches and bad ones. Potter is not that guy I'm sorry. The idea of time is fantastic if you stumble across a Pep Klopp or even Arteta not Potter

Potter is too stubborn with his tactics. Not surprised because he was disgusted that Man U did not approach him when Ralf was sacked. Big ego as he thinks his tactics will work by playing Kai Havertz as a striker. SMH. Talks about converting chances but never plays Auba and David Fofana

I don't pretend to know what makes a good or a bad manager. And I definitely don't know whether Potter is a good or a bad or an average one. Maybe he deserves a chance at a big club and the time to develop his team. I wouldn't know.
But I would like to see a bigger focus on the circumstances that led to his successes in the past and what got him the job at Chelsea in the first place. Did he make teams better? Did his tactics and strategies reinvent his teams? What was it that experts saw in him? What was the working climate at Brighton like? Is he used to the types of power hierarchies and therefore the amount of freedom he now has? Generally what are the credentials that brought him to Chelsea?
The general tone regarding Potter seems to be that he either is a great manager who only needs time or that he never was good enough for a top team and the only reason he got the job was a great team around him at his former club. On the one hand the success of Brighton even (or especially) without Potter seems to hint at the latter, but if Brighton's experts are so good at finding great talent how can Potter not be one of those talents?
I hope he gets to be the manager of Chelsea for at least this and the next season - if only to see what will happen and not having to argue about what could have happened.

No you have gotten it all wrong, GP is not like because the football on the field is shit. Liverpool has a long time project, what has it gotten them. There is no assurance in having a manager in place for long period. Madrid proves this all the time. Potter has not even played a semi final of FA cup with Brighton? How do you call that success? Other managers with little resources have won FA cup (Wigan with Martinez). He has not even played Carabao Semi final with the great job you claim he has done at Brighton? So where is the confidence that Potter is the right candidate coming from?
