i love that the overriding theme of Shadowbringers has been "Hope" and it's just been infront of us the whole time. For the nihilism of the Ascians and all the doom upon the world...every major character from the WoL/WoD to Hades, Elidibus & Azem etc has "Hope" in common...
Just finished 5.0 MSQ. You usually only ever see Emet Selch and the other Ascians while they are acting as your opposition. The WoL and the Scions are the obstacles to their goals. To see Amarout and Emet tell their story and motivations definitely gives them their hope. I haven't gotten into Endwalker yet, but to think that if the Ascians plan wasn't the taking of many life forces aether and it was something less destructive, the Scions and Ascians might have even been allies.
I just want to say I love how you've mixed tomorrow and tomorrow into Shadowbringers in such a cool way. And the mix of voices is just... yes. It's a great reimagining of the song.
Took a break from the game recently after failing to find a group for Savage. With the endgame gone I saw little reason for the continual grind I was putting myself through to keep up. It's been a few months since then, and even with the 5.1 patch I've not brought myself to get back on to play the new story content / dungeon / keep up. But this video reminded me why I played the game in the first place. The way clips from all of the expansions have been woven together here reminded me of all the emotions I felt while I played - the funny moments, the sad moments, and the ultimately heroic ones. For the first time in a long while I actually feel like playing because I've been reminded that I love this world and the journey we've all been through. Thank you for giving me a chance to regain that perspective, intentional or otherwise. I'll have this on repeat for a while, tonight!

I feel like this one is closer to the Nobuo Uematsu Final Fantasy music that I have grown up to, Masayoshi Soken did amazing as well, but it took some getting used to for me.

Okay, I wont lie to you. That beginning solo truly gave me CHILLS! Now you might be thinking that that's a good response to a listener, but not me. Its almost impossible for me to feel that way to anything at all, even for music I love and know is fantastic. You managed to do something to me I didn't believe was possible and the overall song is good in its own right. For that brief moment alone, 'Thank you".
Amazing video compilation to an epic cover. My only criticism is the visual for the early lyric "Who flies?" It's not about actual flying; it's about running away. The Reborn trailer where the soldiers withdraw from the sight of Bahamut's prison would easily suffice here.
