- The more you look into a motorhome the more you realise it is a tech-project on wheels! From battery management systems, AV systems, heating systems, kitchen utilities and of course the vehicle itself you have a lot to play with - and a lot to potentially go wrong!
Definitely better suited for someone handy with a screwdriver, there is always some fettling to be done!
Goldie is a Dethleffs Globetrotter Esprit, and as its a 75th Anniversary edition, its in Gold! (Though is it more of a Champagne?)

Goldie is an absolute beautiful beast! Oooh and an auto step! It's like a massive house on wheels! My waste water comes out of a pipe onto the grass.. but we're only a small camper and it's mostly clean water. What a lovely look about - thanks for the details and some nice mods!

I admire your patience with that engine access! Maybe a litle tea tree oil in your grey water tank during periods of non-usage? Nice and natural and a decent bacteria killer? Interesting vid, thanks. That was some nice troubleshooting on the valve problem. A jammed open drain valve is the last thing you'd want to encounter. Great lateral thinking wth the wire.
I am not looking forward to doing anything more serious 🤣
I want to do an oil change soon, that should not be too much issue, but I would also like to replace the cross member while I am at it (the old one is a little rusty and I have a brand new one to replace it) I don't fancy taking the air conditioner exchanger off the radiator!
I will try the tea tree trick, that's a great idea!
