It does suck but given how this really is just an hd port I'm not surprised That would probably take some real reworking which would be more appropriate or just easier to do in a remaster tbh
Pheicou has a point - there are moments where you clean out ghosts and that's the stage there's gold everywhere and E. Gad calls you back and you can't get the gold.
I love the title screen for this! It's very reminiscent of the first and third games title screens. I hope it changes to each of the 5 mansion as the story progresses because that would be awesome to see.
This is just nostalgia for me. I remember when this came out 11 years ago, and it's literally my comfort game. The art style, the music, even the mission structure... I'm so excited to play it again next week.
Absolutely how it looks despite not looking as great as LM3’s graphics I still love how they remastered the original SFX files and Voice Clips (including retaining Charles Martinet’s original Dark Moon Luigi voice intact!) which’s what classic game remasters or remakes really need! I’m still in questioned if they ever addressed the mission structure issues where originally you were forced out to finish the mission after completing the main objective and not giving the option to either return to the bunker or continue exploring. Other than that, I’m excited nonetheless!
I love the title screen, BIG step up from the original, the fact that it's a combination of the title screen from the first game and the 3rd was a big brain move in my opinion

I got 25 on my 2ds I have 2 egad tokens for all boos and gems and all scare scraper ghosts just need 3 stars on all stages. But now it's has a re make.
The nostalgia of getting slammed by a ScareScraper Slammer in the last second hurts tbh But, the remake already brings the light in the Dark Moon name.

If you already have a 3DS and the game, dont buy the switch version its just a 60 fps hd remake and nothing is new unless you wanna play the scarescraper bc the 3DS servers are offline but its your choice not mine if you wanna get it Edit: and i also love how they kept the pause menu and map a ds
A little hint; while you're trying to capture a ghost, you can press B to do a jump which will make you dodge any incoming attacks, that way you don't have to cancel out every time. :))
I like how Nintendo has recently been digging into their back catalog of games and releasing old entries on Switch. Even if this is a fairly barebones remaster, I'm glad to see this game on Switch and I hope Nintendo continues to bring other 3DS titles to the Switch. The pricing for future 3DS rereleases would probably be awful as it is with this game, but it's still nice having official means to play old games without having to wrangle up original hardware and game cards.

This game is underrated as heck. I think it's overshadowed by the first and even the third game. Yeah it's probably the weakest of the trilogy though that's not saying much as I still had a ton of fun with this game and I'm glad it's being remade for the Switch.

@@JadenYukifan28 The Dpad doesn't aim either. You aim verically with motion or the X and B buttons on 3DS. In this new HD version, you can also aim with the right stick.
I recommend just to emulate it on Citra or buy a cheap loose copy for the 3DS and see if you like it there since the structure and pacing of this game is very different from Luigi’s mansion 1 and 3
Why is it when it comes to early gameplay showings for Nintendo games, game news outlets actually play the game well enough to make the game look as fun as it actually is and show off enough of the game's features to properly market the game? And yet when it comes to any other game (especially Sonic), the same news outlets play so poorly and slowly that it makes the game look boring?
I wouldn’t say it got mixed reception when it came out. It’s more like with Paper Mario Sticker Star where the reviews at first were praising the game a ton but overtime opinions became more mixed

Another thing I saw was the lack of portrays ghost, and the low amount of normal enemies. The last thing I heard was that boss fight werent really good, and very rare, which idk if I agree with, I have to play it again in order to make an opinion.
Okay thank GOD they reintroduced the option to invert Y-axis I was so annyoyed that in 3 it forced un-inverted Y axis on you because I was used to how in the first game it forced you to use inverted Y-axis
Gotta admit, I'm a bit disappointed. Let me first clarify that I LOVE this game, I've replayed it on the 3ds so much I lost count. The only downside to it was that, being one of the first 3ds games, it had a few flaws like the framerate being pretty inconsistent, even on original hardware, so when I heard about Luigi's mansion 2 having a remastered, I was overjoyed by the thought I could play again this masterpiece with bettere graphics and a better, more stable, framerate....yeaaaaah, about that. The graphics sure are better, they got upscaled and models got more poligons, but that framerate?? I do not know if it is misleading because of the video, but from what I could tell it runs at 30fps, and while it looked stable for sure I mean, c'mon Nintendo, it's a game from 2013, how is your console not able to run this at 60. Can't even say that they used Luigi's mansion 3 models, cause as I said, it is the original 3ds game upscaled. And beside all that, what's with the ticking meter on the dark light? I'm a little sad to say that, for sure, I am not gonna buy this. I will surely watch gameplays of it, but still, Nintendo disappointed me, it isn't the first time, and surely won't be the last.

I had the 3DS version of the game and I did like it, but the motion controls were clunky.
The motion was perfect but you don't need to use them in either version so idky ur even complaining about it lol

This remaster is retaining the whole original soundtrack but now in full HD quality unlike in the original being slightly compressed.
