    ❤. There is a lot of character in your art. Thank you for taking time to teach!

    I started with this idea, to use octratrack as a stand alone, day by day i understood that there are too many limits with this way, so i have a syntakt and now is much way more better the situation.😊

      Hi! Yes, of course there are many limits, but, at least for me, they are very stimulating and I often find myself making do with the eight tracks. In any case, having at least another 8 (or 12 or 16) more tracks, well changes everything. I'm planning to get the Digitakt 2 to expand the tracks, and above all to have a live machine that can be used in various situations.

    I’ve been looking for Octatrack stand alone videos. Would love to see more, and with crossfader ideas for builds and transitions. Thank you for the inspiration

      Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the community. I am also curious if you use a different part for each pattern or how you organize for a set on standalone, minimal Berlin techno. Cheers!

      @videosarchive8058 my pleasure mate.
      Usually my live sets are 1 part per pattern.
      I sometimes share the same part on multiple patterns, but normally it's 1:1.
      It "throws away" a lot of useful space, but I find it a convenient workflow for me.
      This is for live sets.
      For the DJ set on Octatrack I use just one part, for all the tracks, in order to have a unified and easy to remember workflow.
      You can find the video of the full performance here:

      I'm planning a video on DJing with Octatrack 😉😊

    Oh, and I’d love to see more of this. Perhaps running this type of sound into the 3 cue tracks to pick up machine looper track concept to create live octamagic that would be like soul food content for me.

    Sometimes your hands move too quickly and block the buttons so it's difficult to see what changes are made

    Very helpful thanks! Im still trying to understand the gain staging of the Octatrack. What is the reason you adjust the volume and not the overall track level @10:53?

    • @electronoirofficial
      @electronoirofficial  2 месяца назад

      Hi! The difference is that the sample volume is pre gain to the track's effects chain itself. This means that by lowering or raising the volume of the track, it also changes how the effects behave.
      The overall volume of the track is post gain, so it only applies to the output volume pre master. 😁

      @@electronoirofficialThank you so much! I asked because on fora they just leave it on 127. So if a sample is hot it’s best to adjust the gain in the sample editor?

      @LoveMeBack I usually use the sample editor for adjustment of volumes, yes :) glad to help mate!
