I was listening to a past episode of The Hiker podcast this year and you were the guest! I’ve learned so many tips and tricks watching your beginner backpacking videos! Thank you!
I stumbled onto your channel while searching for Land Navigation information. I truly enjoyed your channel from the start and subscribed after only 1 video. So less than a year
Watching you for almost two years now----it was because of your review of the Big Agnes Copper Spur that made me purchase that tent and add it to my gear pile.
I believe I discovered your channel in early 2018! Great stuff, keep it going and I look forward to seeing any hikes with views of last summers fire scars so be careful. Cheers!
I have some pictures of some of the fire scars over on Instagram. I went up Castle Rock where we could see the entire McKenzie valley burned and I also went up Stahlman Point where we saw some of the damage in the Detroit area.
This is my first time viewing one of your videos! Thinking about moving to Southern Oregon and my husband and I LOVE to hike! Looking forward to learning more from you!
i've been following your channel since 2018. the first video i watched was entitled something like "emotional video on pct trip" lol it was good. i love your videos
London Peak, which starts at Wolf Creek Park. Nice steep one-way little hike, about 2 miles each way. Then, Rainie Falls Trail by the Rogue River. This is around 3 miles each way, easy to complete but goes along a cliff most of the way.
Thanks for sharing your hike. I was trying to figure out how long I have been following you and in the process unsubscribed and then subscribed so like 2 minutes 🤣. Seriously though, at least 3 years.
@@HikeOregon I remember the first video I watched, it was the one with the green Naturehike sleeping pad, I actually bought it and still have it. Mostly gets loaned out to friends on warm weather trips these days but I used it for a lot of trips before going through a few different pads until I found the perfect sleeping experience for me.
I was watching solo hiking vids from Syntax77 and then your "first solo camping" showed up in the recommended, it had only been out for a month. Thought you were brave and cute so i sub.
Just a couple of months ago I subscribed. I had recently spent some time in California and wanted to eventually find some hiking in the Washington, Oregon area and I came across your channel. Thanks for the content and sharing it with the world, it helps us who live in the middle of nowhere midwest. 👍
My best guestimate is that I have been following you for about 4 years. I am glad to see you were hiking in my neck of the woods down here in Southern Oregon.
I was at Wagner Butte years ago during the Pine to Palm 100 mile race. It's at about mile 85 of the course, we had to climb up and retrieve a flag to prove we had done the entire climb. The sun was just starting to rise on the second day of the race, my mind was a bit foggy but I remember it well. Fun to see a video of a place that I recognize.
Thank you for your videos and advice! I love watching but need to get back out myself. I broke my leg last November and it hasn't been fun issue after issue with my leg and home. I'd love to go hiking with you!
Been watching since you were on the northerly hike with family: Dad, S-Mom, little Brother. That is if I remember right. Your S-Mom had shin issues? Anyway been subscribed for a while. 👍🙂
Wow yes!! That was my first summer making RUclips videos. 2016. I unfortunately haven’t seen my dad and brother since then :( thank you so much for sticking with me this long!!
I haven't even there yet but have hiked over 80 of Oregons trails. I actually hikes Marys Peaks the day before you in the snow with Also, no views that day. Been following you for I think around 4 years now. Keep up the good work!
Can't recall the exact date i first started watching you. I've re-watched some of the earlier content so that wouldn't help to refresh my memory. Several years. I recall your rocky period where you thought you were going to shut the channel down and Darwin convinced you to stick with it...I THINK I am remembering that correctly. Glad that you have stuck it out and are still putting out content....
Hike Oregon! Although I don't have the exact date I discovered / followed your channel I started just prior to Hiking Broken Top Solo video. I watch it from time to time not only because it's fun to watch but I love the Mountain Lion story. I see mountain lion tracks ALL the time hiking but have yet to see a mountain lion. I've seen plenty of Bob Cats but they don't concern me. I like mountain lions but from a safe distance. They're just big house cats with the ability to treat you like a mouse! The video I mentioned is: ruclips.net/video/Hu5iHZo3Ch0/видео.html Rock-on and keep up the awesome work!
Been watching since 2018

I definitely started watching you during the pandemic. I can't remember the date. I love your channel!
Aw yay!!!! 💗💗💗
The first post I remember watching was about Bobby Lake, so around then. The video inspired me to visit it a few seasons later.
That's the best lake ever!!!
@@HikeOregon I can't argue with that! I know if (when!) I'm back on the West coast I want to return there!

I love southern Oregon so much! I was actually just down there again on the pacific crest trail last week.
