I just saw Mountain Queen last night on Netflix! OMG I can't believe how good it is. Lhakpa is a fascinating person and bravo to her and all her accomplishments. Can't wait for Lahkpa to come to Alaska: I"m near Mt. Denali. Congratulations to Lucy Walker. This is a gem of a documentary. It's a great one!! Thank you for bringing it to us. I watched it twice in a row to make sure I got as much out of it as possible. So good! I want to see a full length feature film of her life! What an amazing true story!! The details of her life are majorly interesting. The visuals of Mt. Everest are breathtaking, but my favorite image of the movie (the one that really grabbed my attention) was the one of Lhakpa holding a baby Sunny on her hip in front of the refrigerator. Both of their faces were glowing on another dimension. So beautiful mother and child.

Your resilience, your will to fight against all odds and your joy in reaching your goals is such an inspiration to me! Thank you so much for opening up in this documentary and show us not only the peaks and triumphs of your life, but also the pain, the difficulties and the heartships you and your precious daughters had to overcome🙏🫶🙏 May you, your daughters and your whole family be blessed🙏❣️🙏
