Benidorm Round 2 and our plans for 2024

- Join us as we return to Benidorm to finish filming the bits we missed last time.
In following videos we willl partake in tapas on a budget in Benidorm Old town and a have a visit to Altea by tram, returning on the bus, just to show you how it's done.
The thumbnail is from when Timothy Spall was shooting "It Snows in Benidorm" a couple of years ago and I was submitting images to a live news feed.
We are Mick and Cath, currently working as campsite wardens in Ripon North Yorkshire, UK, but with retirement fast approaching we are planning a move to our home in Spain.
In the meantime we plan to use our 2009 Belgian built Maesss motorhome, based on a Fiat Ducato to make trips out from our base in Spain with a trip in 2025 which we hope will span a few months in Spring and summer.
The RUclips channel was set up to help us keep and share the memories with anyone who is interested, so, if you are interested in this kind of content and may be planning a similar retirement and need to know our costs, we will be sharing our expenses and experiences as we continue our journey.
Our journey really began when we moved to Canada in 2008 for Mick to become a long haul truck driver, where we lived in our truck and spent an adventurous time delivering oversized loads all over Canada and the USA.
We also ran a Blog during that time but didn't have a Vlog due to lack of decent gear for recording in a big rig, although we do have lots of clips on Micks other RUclips channel... / @mickflynnimages and lots of pictures on mickflynnimages.com.
We then returned to England for a while and spent four summer seasons working in the Loire Valley on a beautiful campsite, before moving back to the UK and staying for six years working on a campsite near Henlow, Bedfordshire.
In 2021 we moved up to Yorkshire to be nearer our house which had been locked up for a few years except for short weekend visits, although, as we were provided with comfortable accomodation at our current site we decided to sell up, and so began our Spanish dream with the sale of our modest house in Bradford, which allowed us to buy the small apartment in Spain.
Our next big job (which we will be documenting) is to teach Cath how to ride a bike as she has never had one, but we feel that a couple of small folding electric bikes will allow us to get out and about more to explore wherever we are.

Channels growing Mick and Kath 2c in the Midlands 15th January 😔
It is Sue. Hoping to keep it real, but we know if will slow down in summer when we are back at work. 21c in the MOHO in Benidorm at the moment lol. Not looking forward to the cold in the UK but we had 53c below in Alberta Canada a few years back.

Why are they getting moved on?
Parking is allowed, but no camping activity.
You can open your top windows only, not the side ones, and not tables chairs etc outside, but we've seen loads ignoring it. We also saw someone tipping a bottle of piss into the bushes there, and if I lived there I'd want them moving on.
