About Me: Sarra Cannon writes contemporary and paranormal fiction with both teen and college-aged characters. Her novels often stem from her own experiences growing up in the small town of Hawkinsville, Georgia, where she learned that being popular always comes at a price and relationships are rarely as simple as they seem.

I had similar experiences in elementary school. Even though my parents and other family members loved me and had positive influence on me, the stuff in elementary school STILL affects me. Not as much as it once did thankfully. I let it flow into my characters so hopefully it will help readers someday.

I refuse to do anything major until April because that is when spring truly starts. Self-care and self-reflection/introspection is really important to me since I've not ever done this before. I've never truly loved myself or become a true friend to myself nor have i ever heard this before. Im slowly shedding my past and skin like a snake, metaphorically speaking. I have so much work to do on myself but i also know that i want to start working in the way that helps people who have a similar journey tomy own.

I graduated in a class of nine people lol Also, I relate to your small in the grand scheme of things high school incident effecting you in a big way. I got asked out on a date as joke in front of my friends. It was very humilating and it increased my anxiety and already low self-confidence. People who feel the need to reach out and tell you you're not the kind of person they want teaching them have bigger problems than you can do anything about. So many people live you and your bike. Pay the meanies no mind.
They can have serious beliefs, but that they reached out and told you was an effort to make you feel less and put themselves higher.
Pretty sure that level of judgement is fundamentally opposed to what they supposedly believe in.

Do things that make YOU content because that stays while happiness is momentary. Its not a negative thing but this is something I heard someone else and its stuck.

However, there is ZERO reason for someone to contact you and tell you that they don't want to take your course because of the "witch" stuff. They should have just moved on. People want to learn from you because of who you are. Block out the naysayers.
