- The church is not an optional addition to the Christian life. If we love Jesus Christ, it is essential that we be involved in the church He loves. When thinking through this important subject, it’s helpful to define our terms. What is the church? In this message, R.C. Sproul identifies the church by examining several of its names and descriptions found in Scripture, helping us understand what it means to belong to Christ’s church.
This message is from Dr. Sproul’s 6-part teaching series Communion of Saints. Learn more: www.ligonier.org/learn/series...
Such a fantastic message delivered by a fantastic preacher and servant of God Almighty. 🕊
Thank you.
Thank God (Christ) for the biblical teachings of the late Dr. R.C. Sproul. 🙂
AMEN AND AMEN! PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY NAMES! GOD BLESS US ALL!🙏🏻
That is a beautiful message.
God bless you for this wonderful ministry.
Amazing! Thank you God for your blessing!
It's hard to connect with people unless you have money. I have found I keep more friendships when I have money to spend. When I have nothing to offer I can go a whole year without a phone call. I'm ready for my father to come back.
Jesus said those who are last(least), will be the first(greatest). See 1 Corinthians 1 vs. 26-31. May God encourage you with His word!
So true!
Its all about the Father
Like always
Maybe the lesson is…they aren’t really true friends to begin with.
I love you RC!
amen ❤
I have listened to hundreds of Sproul's teaching lessons. This one seems to start off slowly and nimbly but through a seductive crescendo ends more powerfully than any other one I can remember. Watch till the very last sentence!
I was about to close out of the teaching and resume it later because of this, but the end brought me to tears.
@@caleb3960 That's why I keep going back to Sproul's messages again and again, despite the sometimes vague or possibly mundane title or initial linguistic tempo.
Great insight. Excellent exposition.
👼 Thank you Jesus 👼
Here in Africa, in Swahili the church is "Kanisa"... See!
Etymology and meaning. The word kanīsa is the Arabised form of the western Aramaic k enīs̲h̲tā (eastern Aramaic k enūs̲h̲tā ), which means “meeting, assembly”.
Amen 🙌🏿
. 👼 Amen!.👼.
This video is meant for you @bill Baehr😅
He's already here, continuing to try to draw people away from attending church. Pure evil. He refuses to repent.
@@Yesica1993 I thought so,, anyway you know what to do with those who refuse to repent, what did our Lord Jesus say
Matthew 7:6.
@@Yesica1993 that is not a fair comment at all. He simply states quite correctly that the focus is now not on the building.
@@robturvey9156 he is influenced by the emergent church, more specifically George Barna, and Frank Viola, their book, pagan Christianity, which teaches that church buildings are pagan, and that the preaching of sermons are unbiblical
@@e.t.h.559 OK. I have not seen anything from him on that issue but what he says here seems fine to me. If Gothic is your thing, that’s ok with me but it isn’t my thing and very many would agree with me. Very happy to meet in a home, a community hall, school or whatever but definitely not in a churchy church building.
amen ❤
