I think it was because people were posting too many skins of copyrighted characters and one of the copyright owners saw it and didn't know how the skindex works and gave the skindex a DMCA request that the skindex couldn't even do anything about because of how many skins of the copyrighted characters were uploaded

Dude, it's sad that the skindex is gone, like literally my pc just got reset and I saw that the skindex is gone so, that means I have to make another skin from another site and it's gone be a pain I also was a skin creater I made more that 30 skins and personally I think those skins were a banger.
