Young talents keep tradition of Austrian marching band alive

- "Music tells us what cannot be grasped in words and what would be impossible to keep silent about...". This is the motto of the Trachtenmusikkapelle Ramingstein. Its history can be traced back to the year 1890. From eight musicians at that time, the band has grown to over 40 members today. There are also many young talents, the average age is 28.

This is not a military band, it is a music band. That is the difference
Why would they goose step?
They aren’t a military unit or band. They are just a traditional band. They have nothing to do with the military and goose stepping isn’t practical while playing an instrument.
Additionally they are not even German let alone Prussian. (Apart from the fact that German military don’t use the Goose step anymore ) They are Austrian. In Austria there is no tradition of the goose step.
