- Vintage documentary by NBC television - with actress Margaret Rutherford (Blithe Spirit, Miss Marple), her husband (actor Stringer Davis) and Tom Corbett (author, clairvoyant and ghost-hunter), on a search for paranormal activity at Longleat House, Salisbury Hall and Beaulieu Abbey.
Recorded in England during the summer of 1964, the NBC team had their share of technical faults while filming the show, including: unexplained power cuts, spoiled takes during early filming, cameras refusing to work at crucial moments and arc lamps lighting up for no reason (one of which fell down a staircase with no one nearby).
After 3 weeks of filming, the team were successful in capturing, by time-lapse camera, an unexplained light anomaly in an upper corridor at Longleat House. It was later discovered that a grandfather clock on the same corridor had coincidentally stopped working when the light anomaly had appeared.
Inspired by the book ‘The Stately Ghosts of England’ by Diana Norman (reprinted as ‘Tom Corbett’s Stately Ghosts of England’). - Развлечения

So fun to hear the old NBC Peacock intro together with Dame Rutherford's special. Thank you!
I saw this the night of its original broadcast. What a pleasure to see it once again.
This is bliss, thank you for uploading.
Great documentary by the greatest victorian actress
wow i have never seen or known of this ,..hammy but very interesting thankyou
I love that this is shot on film. Adds to the subject! Also it is interesting how hauntings were kept secret in the past yet are advertised now. I found this by looking up who Tom Corbett was. They have a comment from him concerning the movie at the beginning of “The Legend of Hell House.”
You have the best uploads! A real treasure.
Wow that ghost light at the end was cool!!!!!!
Hilarious and brilliant 😍
Brilliant show! BTW do you know the name of the music at the beginning?
I’m surprised being a supposed Clairvoyant that Tom Corbett couldn’t get a name for the unknown murdered lover of Lady Louisa Carteret
