WOW. Legit might be the best dribble vid Ive ever seen. The fact that you break it down and make it easy to understand is incredible. Your channel has been consistently high tier content. Thank you.
Holy shit i had no idea this was a thing and I've played 2k for 20 years plus. You've completely changed the value I get out of 2k with all your tutorials. Geniunely had No idea how much of a basketball sim 2k really was since all everyone online does is zig zag cheese animations, so I always thought that that's the limit of dribbling and how you're supposed to play 2k.
@oOYourdadOo - I feel like dribbling has been improving every year. So many different things you can do now but you just don't see many people utilize them
This is what 2k need to push in there marketing they didn't let us know anything about how to really find your own way. I just recently started realizing the right mix of triggers and stick actually does something a little different
It’s because all of this don’t work like that at the high level and alot of people don’t have time to find their own way they just tryna get on and play
@@MRDEVIOUSISO Imma be real it does work there's just levels of this style too and it takes more creativity and more brain power to do this at a high level vs the regular combos u see
Although I'm failing miserably thanks I always leave your content with knowledge. I can only watch so many teir lists and grown men crying about how a game is not fair or to expensive.
I like how you said "dribble with purpose" 100% agreed on that aspect. Sometimes, less is more and if you don't need to do dribble moves to blow by your defender, then you don't have to but then again, this is a good thing to have in your bag. Makes you a better player overall. Thanks, Kevin! Awesome vid as always! Video idea, maybe make a video about how to make team plays like floppy and it gets more advanced and complicated and on how to execute them effectively.
Thank you man! On the video idea, I did have something planned on basics of five on five offense, just got lost in the shuffle as I went into some MyCareer stuff! But still coming!
Bro is a hidden gem in the 2K community and nobody talks about him enough. If you're a bucket in 2k, Kevin Cruz is most likely the reason why. I salute. 🙏🏽
No it’s strictly signature size ups think of it as a way to show you the rhythm needed because 2K considers size ups as advanced dribbling techniques For example Hold L2 and flick the RS but continue to hold L2 once the size up is about to end hold R2 and flick the RS again you’ll see the difference Kobe Sizeup is OP when you learn how to do it fluidly
Hi Kevin, long-time subscriber and a big fan of your work. I was just wondering if you could make a video that shows what angles you are looking for to beat your opponent. And highlight it so that we can beat online people who just let the cpu play and stay with bigs.
Hey Cruz, appreciate you always looking out for the community, dropping bangers! 🫡❤ How about doing something similar like this video, but for lower ball handles? Bronze lightning launch, 70 ball handle! Cook up!!!
Can you do a quick dive into the Rafer Alston signature style? I’ve never been able to fully get through the animate for the “reverse between the legs” at the end. Keep up the good work!
Man thank you so much for these dribble videos a lot of ppl don’t like 2k25 because it’s different….left stick dribbling and rhythm shooting are very dangerous if you know how to use them
Bro you are goated! You need to do 1v1 game play and cook everyone! That would be entertaining! We always talk about Kobe playing 1v1 or Kyrie 1v1 it would be every entertaining to watch you cook people all day! A highlight real!
It depends because the LS isn’t as forgiving as previous years that’s why you may experience a hitch if you don’t speed boost properly My advice is turn on passive dribble until you get the rhythm down for the dribble style you like
What’s annoying about the 2k dribble engine is 1 2k don’t show you in game the different possibilities you have to go find out yourself. 2 I experiment the different packages and dribble styles and especially with the left stick dribble styles some of them just aren’t usable in match. 3 2k players recycle the meta because of the previous stated points, online the dribbling feels wayyy different aswell not sure if it’s just the latency but I feel like its sliders
How are you blowing by your defender though? No matter what I do or the dribble moves, they don’t bite and I get bumped all the time. Holding turbo or not makes no difference.
This makes dribbling so much easier it's not even funny! But I have a lot of other tutorials in the channel in the 2K25 Course list! Go check them out!
This has always been in the game ….. the only thing that is different is the speed boosting with the right stick …… they did this to make you pay attention to the Mechanics and animations this year
Nobody tells me anything my man, sometimes its a product of educated guess work, sometimes its me being lucky lol. But I lock myself up in 2KU for at least an hour a week, and that’s where all this gets figured out lol
Please drop a combo list spreadsheet please! For example: how do you shamgod?? Please release a combo list like street fighter because 2k dribbling is basic like street fighter with the combos but 2k won’t tell you shit.
Fwiw, the best I have right now is my Ultimate dribble tutorial for 2K25, its got organized chapters for every move so consider it like an unofficial combo cheat sheet!
No, in fact I’d avoid over dribbling or extended combos! But be selective in what moves you use. I’d mix in triple threat and limit dribble combos to 1-2 combos then quick bursts and counters
More like 8-10 minutes 😂😂 especially if they don’t follow you But nah I still need the Booker Hop tutorial and possibly a big guard kill shot(go to shot per say) system You know I stay 🔒 in 😂😂
Quite literally had no idea L2 even had an effect on dribbling. This has truly changed everything 😂 in my career like wtf HE TELLING THE TRUTH

Woah, I was completely unaware that holding L2 would make it easier to do those target combos. That's a game-changer for sure.
Same here. I haven't really played these games since 20. I thought i was becoming aware of a lot of new tech, but still so much has changed

Perfect example on how to make informative content that is not only useful but unique.
Much appreciated
Watching Kevin makes me realize how trash I am at this game.
We’re all a work in progress my brother!

Youre not trash just an average player, kevin is different on the 2k sticks
Kev, appreciate your work and dedication. You've helped simplify dribbling for those of us who aren't as great with chaining combos.
This is why I do it! I want everyone who wants to get get good at this game to be as good as they want to be!

hi Kevin . TY i learned something new ( again XD) but i have a question . did you alredy try to do a prime James harden build ?
Not yet my man, I’m still trying to figure out what my big guard/wing build will be!
Thumbnail look crazy lowkey
damn eventually L2 would get discovered. allen iverson kills with that
Are you gonna make a Luka build or a Luka break down like you did last year?
Big guards are definitely next on my list for builds and I’ll probably try my hand at a couple more player showcases but will see how those perform!
Very exciting news for the viewers. Thank you!
When dribbling with right stick do you let go of left stick or keep holding it???
It depends because the LS isn’t as forgiving as previous years that’s why you may experience a hitch if you don’t speed boost properly

Need tall guard sigs
I have a LONG way to go. It's been a few years since I've been out of the game. The shooting and dribbling now is much more difficult.
My man! Love your content 😀
This guy has completely changed the way I play 2k. Are the controls for the target combos in the game or did I completely look over it?
I just bought the game I didn’t see it on 2kU lol

Real 2kballers grab a bowl of that sauce
can you show us some combos for all pro moves equipped ???? for those grinding from the very bottom?
Hi, Kev! Have you seen Ja Morant's dunk attempt turned to a 360 layup? Do you think it's possible to replicate this in 2K?
L2 just posts up for me, PS4, any advice?
This has always been in the game ….. the only thing that is different is the speed boosting with the right stick …… they did this to make you pay attention to the Mechanics and animations this year
Speed boosting with the right stick was in 2K24. It initiated your attacking crossover that is tied to your Escape Moves package just like this year
Chef with the SAUCE as always!!!
Hate how much current gen is missing on these lessons
So this PLUS the strong handle animations is gonna be NASTY
Yessir man, when you put everything together, you can get some crazy combo stacks bro!
