I've followed Kobe Bean since late 90s as a kid and played the Lakers on NBA Live, In the Zone and Hangtime. There was something different even on video games about Kobe. I don't know what was it back then, but he Got IT. Dad introduced me to hoops, instantly fell in love. What made me love it even more was the Lakers, Shaq and Kobe. But then, these two knuckleheads decided to partways even after being a dynasty. From then on, while growing up, I turned from a fan to a legit homer. LOL. My brother and I are very big Kobe Fans, like to death. Debating neighbors, peers and all. It was fun especially when the team was winning.
