Kyunghoon is known for being a strong and great vocalist and Heechul who most people took for granted as a singer now has 2 duets with Kyunghoon. He really needs to know that he has such an amazing voice and he shouldn't be afraid to sing.

The both of them received such different feedback in the past. The funny thing is, here in this live performance I found Heechul actually more stable than Kyunghoon. Heechuls voice kinda really got me and made me look forward even more to his parts - which I did not expect to this extent, because they are both (equally) great singers. I enjoyed both of their duets and this live performance was pure gold. I hope for even more collaborations in the future!

lemontea 291 He is too frank when he is talking. He gives no shit. Many people considered him as rude and a snob. You would found him talking about that era in his life sometimes. He would say "Back then when i don't give a shit, i would give you the stares and walk away" or something similar 😆 For the Elf part, they critised him because he actually said he prefer acting over singing. He had became too busy with his acting schedules and don't even have time to practice(nor sleep) and it affected his performance. His voice breaks badly for the performance of U(if i am not wrong). At that time Elf sort of boycott him and want him to leave Suju(basically what Elf always do when scandal arises).

[VOCAL APPRECIATION] they're conveying a breakup with their voices. kyunghoon conveying the rage at how unfair it feels, and heechul the weariness that comes right after. heechul's vocal colour reminds me of wisps of smoke, while kyunghoon is raw power. i love that they both add something to the song. like, it's impressive, how they can alternate between the higher and lower harmony. kyunghoon has this undercurrent of strength even when he's singing lowly, and it's so solid and reliable. whereas him belting out the note is almost overwhelming; you feel the pain. heechul's (beautiful) lower notes is both soothing yet melancholic, and whenever he's hitting the higher harmony, oof, it's so heart-wrenching. he's belting, but his voice is still somewhat calm, which brings this sense of hopelessness; this quiet and devastating silence. it helps the their vocal range/positioning is similar, which is why they're so compatible. beautiful. kyunghoon did a good job with the lyrics.

But it's just that Heechul is not only more familiar with international audience, but it's quite an emotional moment for us to see Heechul singing beside a legendary vocalist in Korea. Heechul has been ridiculed, bashed, laughed at, and taken for granted as a singer (even the KB casts laughed at him and questioned him if he's ever sang even one verse of a song in the earlier episodes of the show). It's bittersweet for us to see Heechul, who used to downplay and doubt his abilities, sing on stage with someone Korea hail as a singing god. Elfs have adopted Kyunghoon and we admire and recognize his immense ability as a vocalist and thank him for pushing Heechul and encouraging him as a singer. I will always be grateful to Kyunghoon because when Heechul thanked him for singing beside hyung, he said that he's more than happy because his hyung is a great singer. I will always forever love Kyunghoon not just because he's an amazing singer and an amazing person but he has helped Heechul gain more confidence as a singer. A few yeas ago, you won't even see comments of Heechul being regarded as a singer that's why it's really something that just makes us so emotional. It's not about who's the better singer or who has the better voice. I'm a new fan to both Heechul and Kyunghoon but I especially love Buzz's music so as someone who didn't have previous knowledge of how highly Kyunghoon is regarded as a vocalist in Korea (I knew he was extremely popular in the past but because I only see the 'head voice' banter when people speak of him currently) I was a bit saddened that almost no comments are about him as most are for Heechul. But after reading your comment I understand a bit more and it makes more sense so thank you again. All in all they are both amazing singers and I will continue to support them from now on :)

Heechul has an amazing voice. I’m glad that he finally gained his confidence in singing. You should watch classical musicians react to his Narcissus. They love his voice too. I don’t know much about singing techniques so I can’t judge his singing but his voice his tone is definitely underestimated. I never get tired of his voice. I know he sings high notes well and fans are generally like wowed by them but for me I love his mid-lows even more

That's exactly how I felt. One of my regrets is knowing Buzz too late. Nevertheless, I am glad I found them. Not to exaggerate but they are the only one that I stan. I am not really into K-pop and only, watches some variety shows to kill time. But ever since I discovered them, I'm done!

For the Elf part, they critised him because he actually said he prefer acting over singing. He had became too busy with his acting schedules and don't even have time to practice(nor sleep) and it affected his performance. His voice breaks badly for the performance of U(if i am not wrong). At that time Elf sort of boycott him and want him to leave Suju(basically what Elf always do when scandal arises).

[VOCAL APPRECIATION] they're conveying a breakup with their voices. kyunghoon conveying the rage at how unfair it feels, and heechul the weariness that comes right after. heechul's vocal colour reminds me of wisps of smoke, while kyunghoon is raw power. i love that they both add something to the song. like, it's impressive, how they can alternate between the higher and lower harmony. kyunghoon has this undercurrent of strength even when he's singing lowly, and it's so solid and reliable. whereas him belting out the note is almost overwhelming; you feel the pain. heechul's (beautiful) lower notes is both soothing yet melancholic, and whenever he's hitting the higher harmony, oof, it's so heart-wrenching. he's belting, but his voice is still somewhat calm, which brings this sense of hopelessness; this quiet and devastating silence.
it helps the their vocal range/positioning is similar, which is why they're so compatible. beautiful. kyunghoon did a good job with the lyrics.

Just B It's not that no one appreciate Kyunghoon, of course we all know that he's an amazing singer. But it's just that Heechul is not only more familiar with international audience, but it's quite an emotional moment for us to see Heechul singing beside a legendary vocalist in Korea. Heechul has been ridiculed, bashed, laughed at, and taken for granted as a singer (even the KB casts laughed at him and questioned him if he's ever sang even one verse of a song in the earlier episodes of the show).
It's bittersweet for us to see Heechul, who used to downplay and doubt his abilities, sing on stage with someone Korea hail as a singing god.
Elfs have adopted Kyunghoon and we admire and recognize his immense ability as a vocalist and thank him for pushing Heechul and encouraging him as a singer. I will always be grateful to Kyunghoon because when Heechul thanked him for singing beside hyung, he said that he's more than happy because his hyung is a great singer.
I will always forever love Kyunghoon not just because he's an amazing singer and an amazing person but he has helped Heechul gain more confidence as a singer.
A few yeas ago, you won't even see comments of Heechul being regarded as a singer that's why it's really something that just makes us so emotional.
It's not about who's the better singer or who has the better voice. For us, it's about Heechul showing all those who ridiculed him that he can sing beside a legendary singer and for us it's one of the most beautiful moment.
charlie garcia thank you for your comment it was really enlightening, I'm a new fan to kpop so I had no idea of what happened to Heechul in the past and that he was ever ridiculed for his voice (seriously what were the people who said that even thinking?!). I'm a new fan to both Heechul and Kyunghoon but I especially love Buzz's music so as someone who didn't have previous knowledge of how highly Kyunghoon is regarded as a vocalist in Korea (I knew he was extremely popular in the past but because I only see the 'head voice' banter when people speak of him currently) I was a bit saddened that almost no comments are about him as most are for Heechul. But after reading your comment I understand a bit more and it makes more sense so thank you again. All in all they are both amazing singers and I will continue to support them from now on :)

Heechul has an amazing voice. I’m glad that he finally gained his confidence in singing. You should watch classical musicians react to his Narcissus. They love his voice too. I don’t know much about singing techniques so I can’t judge his singing but his voice his tone is definitely underestimated. I never get tired of his voice. I know he sings high notes well and fans are generally like wowed by them but for me I love his mid-lows even more

I mean seriously, Kyunghoon has the most attractive vocal, singing style, tone, and emotion. I fell in love with BUZZ way too late but I know why people keep calling him god and legend. Amazing vocalist, who kept his own style when it comes to singing. A person who is so handsome but doesn’t show off nor doesn’t think outside beauty is important! I admire him for so many reasons!
That's exactly how I felt. One of my regrets is knowing Buzz too late. Nevertheless, I am glad I found them. Not to exaggerate but they are the only one that I stan. I am not really into K-pop and only, watches some variety shows to kill time. But ever since I discovered them, I'm done!
