When it comes to trespassers, even in broad daylight it tend to take a "Defend first, ask questions later." approach.

.. I heard one of the phrases that gives away some of these stories as being fake. "smile didn't reach his eyes". It's a tell.. like "face turned an interesting shade of Red" or people having 6 fingers in an AI-generated photo.

You guys give these HOA characters to much credit. Stand up to them more firmly, it is your house and garden not theirs.

ALL THE HOA WANTED. WAS, THE OWNER. TO HAVE A SAFETY CLASS & CERTIFICATE. BECAUSE SHE HAS CHILDREN.
HOA . A SAFETY INSPECTION. ALONG WITH PROPER CITY PERMITS. WIT IS PERFECTLY NORMAL... guidelines for pools on private property typically include restrictions on the type of pool allowed (usually only permitting in-ground pools), size limitations, fencing requirements, safety features like self-latching gates, proper maintenance standards, and may even prohibit above-ground pools altogether, all outlined in the HOA's governing documents or CC&Rs; essentially, HOAs can regulate pool installation and upkeep to maintain community aesthetics and safety standards within private properties.
