My opinion on TC2 from a TF2 player (used to play TC2, got level 100) TC2 has +Slightly better balancing (wrangler is slightly more nerfed, eviction notice is actually it's own weapon etc, this can also be found on certain servers) + No random crits or random shotgun spread (This can be found on Uncletopia) TF2 has +MvM +Community servers +Trading economy +Better community +More maps +More casual (You won't be banned for being friendly) Tl;dr: Typical Colours 2 is litteraly just Uncletopia except the weapons are slightly more balanced. Nothing will be able to replace TF2
I like how TC2 has a buncha unique weapon concepts. I'm about level 150, and the only reason I don't play TF2 instead is because I literally can't. It's not available on Macs. Well at least not ones made past 2010 that have at least the minimum specs to play the game. In short, you can't play TF2 on Mac. Nor can I use Bootcamp, because I am using a silicon M1 chip.
After being in the community for about a year now, I truly feel like TC2 has evolved from an ordinary TF2 ripoff into its own entity, with it's own style of humor, unique mechanics, and special moments that TF2 can't capture anymore (*cough cough* communication with devs *cough cough*). And now that I think of it, I'm glad I chose to stay with TC2, even if I still long to play the real thing. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to try out TF2 and see both sides.

Btw tc2 has a new gamemode right now and they added community server for VIP's and the gamemode is experimental which you have alot of funds that you can buy anything and some i think WIP experimental items.
I may be a 2/3 year late but as a level 125+ in tc2. Tc2 is no longer a ripoff of tf2 instead its own game and even has its own community. The balancing, the competitive instead of casual randomness is such a blessing for tc2. And yes people still hates friendly but i am fine with them.
i played tc2 for around 2 years, hitting level 70 before actually playing tf2. It’s a lot more forgiving, with the outfits being brighter colors, easier to see hit boxes, etc. but it just didn’t have much to reward players with, and i’m only 37 hours in tf2 and like it a lot more. overall, tc2 is fine, but a lot more casual and easy to get into
A lot of things I wanna say to you: TF2 doesn't have any female class because it doesn't fit the timeline of the game that it supposedly takes place in (around 1950 or somewhere around that I forgot), that being at that time women aren't allow to directly go battle in the war. Only as nurses and doctors. Yes, you can make them go battle like how Medic can but again, women aren't allowed to directly engage in battle and they are allowed to be nurses and doctors only because they don't normally go battle. However, VALVe planned to add female classes in but they all are scrapped for unknown reasons. TC2 doesn't really have any supposed timeline it takes place in but since modern phones exist (As Agent carries one as Sapper and Disguise Kit), it can be assumed that the TC2 timeline is closer to the 2000s. While the TC2 weapons for more balanced than TF2, there are still weapons those are bad such as Double Trouble where the damage is pretty much that exact same as stock but with just 1 pair of rockets per clip (single ammunition) rather than 4 rockets for clip (quad ammunition). Furious Flaxge, which is supposedly the Pain Train, is still bad even after the buff. Sure, it's better than the actual Pain Train but within the TC2 environment, it's still bad. Market Gardener getting nerfed to only deal 135 damage with crit, meaning that you can barely one shot a Gunslinger Mechanic and the light classes but Trolldier (Or even Hybrid Trolldiers) themselves aren't even broken powerful and playing the regular Soldier is still better. Not saying that you're wrong for this but TC2 weapons aren't as more balanced than TF2 as you may think. TC2's blast jumping is easier mostly due to its physics and Roblox lag. TF2's physics is rather quick and lags slightly while TC2's physics is somewhat slow and noticably laggy (As visible from a lot of weird backstab hitboxes and the delay of the launching force when blast jumping). TC2 is a game in Roblox and you cannot make the grinding session too tedious otherwise new players would quit the game early (That's why those cash grabbing "Simulator" games in Roblox die fast after blowing up) and as for TF2, while the same can still happen, TF2 is a legitimate game, not a game inside another game so it can have some elements of P2W. While Marksman (TC2 Sniper)'s Sniper Rifle has damage nerf on quickscope, it doesn't solve the issue of the class entirely. The problem of Marksman (And TF2 Sniper to the extent) is being a pick class (Eliminate crucial targets) but lack of risk required. Spy and Agent have to walk pass the frontline to the back and backstab people which risk them to dying before they can even get pass it and even when they do, a smart player is all it takes to ruin it while Sniper and Marksman don't take a lot of risk. Both are fairly balanced when it comes to the entirety of TF2 but people don't play every maps in the game and in some maps, Sniper and Marksman are incredibly powerful and it's a living hell for people who like playing on those maps. However, the quickscope damage nerf of Marksman does fix the issue of preventing the ambush entirely since the damage isn't enough to one shot them in a lot of situations. Random Crit and random bullet spread suck and that's why I play TC2 more for casual (Because if TC2 uses the TF2 competitve mode settings so no random crit, no random bullet spread and no having an entire team being a single class which brings me to the next topic). TF2 Engineer has a problem in casual of stacking a lot of Engineers and having them reinforcing each other's nest which can be frustrating to deal with if you're the opponent as it makes push almost impossible without relying on the suidical Demoman, suicidal Soldier, suicidal Spy or Sniper to take down the nest first, only for them to build them back like nothing or not even destroyed them at all. Since TC2 uses the competitive settings for the game, that situation cannot happen in an extreme case. Best is only 2 Mechanics which Anni can easily bombard the nest at ease with just 2 Sentries. While this setting is rather frustraing, it's better to not have a team filled with Mechanics in Payland maps than not being able to have more than 2 of them. Not the best solution but at least it's something. Gacha system personally is bad to me but I get it that gambling is fun to a lot of people but in TC2, you don't have to go through robot genocide (AKA MVM) or burn your irl money just to get them. You still have to grind but it's a lot easier. And the lastt part is that TC2 isn't infested with bots unlike TF2 right now.
yeah ive been there since the start, I started playing in 2016 and the game was pretty cool, i didn't even know what tf2 was until 2020. sadly, i left tc2 and moved onto other stuff, i came back in 2021 and im now level 146 or something (somewhere in the 140's) tc2 is the best tf2 ripoff game hands down, its got its own humor, sniper/marksmans razorback that just says: "knife goes here :)" and even has some joke voice lines that are rare too get. tc2 is like no other tf2 ripoff at this point, i could say its a different game. you don't even have to pay real money to get funds, you just play the game. theres less bots which is a big breath of fresh air. in conclusion, tc2 is such an underrated game, some people don't even know it exists even though its been out for long, glad its getting some more attention.
@@lolfool866 yeah i know about that, im glad. but im an agent main and marksman main in tc2. once i go to tf2 i suck at trickstabbing because its a different engine, so i just go to sniper. once i do, i get kicked from the server because of the bot invasion thing and they think im a bot. im on a tightrope choosing if i should go sniper or just go another class. but like i enjoy playing sniper. i enjoy playing all of the classes but sniper kinda hits different to me, and no im not that edgy sniper main. and so i just go direct hit soldier or something or another class. and what's worse is that im a f2p now, i lost my account because steam support didn't email me a code because its been a long time since i went on steam. i hate steam guard. EDIT: also going back to tc2, i love how they added new sappers to agent, something that tf2 has never done. its so simple yet pretty clever.

honestly, i call tc2 a "sidegrade" to tf2. In return for weapons being more balanced, and the gameplay being more enjoyable (no bots, sniper being "nerfed" & no random crits), in return for it being on roblox so the ping is useless, there being no economy, and some thing called a "sidestab" that makes you do minicrits when you stab the side of someone, and with the roblox hitboxes and ping, it's a f***ing nightmare, and (unless im playing medic or sweaty) i would kill myself to make sure the spy really got the kill Having an anti-friendly "ideology" and being more competitive can be and upside or downside depending on who you ask. i personally believe it to be better, there are many games on roblox for your friendly gameplay, and with limited servers (once again, it's roblox), having a friendly server is just annoying and now with the battle bass and contracts, it's making sure the game is more competitive.
As a level 72 player of this game, i can comfirm that Typical Colors 2 is no rip-off, the game has more things than TF2, such as: Its own proper currency that can be used to obtain weapons, bundles, tools and hat crates. A battle pass system added in the summer update, which can grant event hats, reskins and funds if completed for a certain amount of XP. And more maps, such as: CTF_Mach, PL_Boundry, KoTH_Rooftops, ect. In simple words, those who say its a rip-off are either idiots who cannot waste just 1 hour on it, or just idiots blaming the game as they are idiots and cannot manuver the rebalanced or new weaponry that TC2 grants.
Ive played both tc2 and tf2 (level 70+ in tc2, about 300 ish hours on tf2 ((not much but enough to understsnd the game)) and tc2 is literally just tf2 with worst players and different balancing / worst balancing

no the best weapon in game is the "Ham", since it's the only weapon that can random crit. (yes this is a real stat on the weapon, it's an admin weapon but can be found in randomizer, so if u get it while playing that mode, well have fun before someone rolls up with a M60)

TC2 player here. When compared to Casual, TC2 is easily superior. Asides from a small map rotation (which doesn't hinder gameplay that much), the only real issue is that some people have shit ping, but that's only an issue because *you* have bad internet. Other people with ping can be annoying (agents, marksmen). Asides from that? Better balancing, updates introduce new and exciting weapons and an entire revamp of systems in the game at best and at worst only giving us new cosmetics and mehish items, but unlike TF2 it in the end does get significant updates and is treated well by the devs even though it reaches 200-400 players playing at max. The devs give a shit about the game and even MvM has been hinted to have been getting worked on. It also has official gamemodes like Vs. Boss, Deathmatch, Infection and Randomizer to name the most important ones (imo). That and the game actually runs well unlike TF2's napoleonic code. TF2 does best it at community servers (i love slender fort), MvM and etc, though. But it's undeniable that TC2 is a great game for something that was made by mostly *two devs as a passion project.* It has my respect. Edit: Decided to add some stuff here because I didn't talk about the bad stuff, ig. Some high levels are douches. That's only an issue if you can't handle that stuff. Not all ofc, but this isn't shocking when you remember it's Roblox (kids!). Asides from that, Arsonist (obv what class it is) is meh in this game because of the first flames when you're using your flamethrower don't hit and the Dragon's Fury has been broken since last update of typing this. Agent has a minicrit trickstab system which I personally despise because it punishes people with good internet unlike the 1000 ping Agent. I can't really think of more issues, though. The level 50+ allowance to votekick could be controversial to some, but I think it's fine because Rolve also has a VAC system like Valve for all their games, making it so you have the Roblox anti-cheat and an additional one. It's super rare to actually need to votekick a cheater. I have kicked some obvious closet exploiters, though. exploit kids really think penetrating a razorback and getting an instant backstab through it isn't sus 💀
tc2 is just tf2 but roblox wise,but tc2 is working to have more original maps made by the community(believe it or not rolve actually listens to the community most of the time)

I think tf2 is just better to play not mainly bcs it have like better graphic or animations but bcs you can do much more than in tc2. In tf2 you have mvm, servers with funny maps like higher tower, only crits servers, 10x 100x 1000x servers, you have freedom to play so for example you will not be banned for being friendly, better physic bcs its on source. I was playing tc2 some time to check it out but i fell like I will be bored after playing 20 hours and i will have nothing else to do, but in tf2 I have 800 hours and I'm still not bored.
I still find it surprising that a Roblox team were able to replicate many elements of the jank of TF2 into the janky Roblox engine. I say it's quite an achievement.

here are the differences of the tc2 weapons to the tf2 weapons i only know shortstop (from tc2) -its range functions the same as the scattergun does -it refills all of ur meter by 50% upon killing someone personal death ray/righteous bison -the personal death ray shoots 20% faster than shotguns -op as f*ck when predicted where the projectile is gonna hit -can be spammable -reloads fast einsteinium/pompson -the einsteinium is 1 pellet laser shotgun -its a hitscan weapon rather than a projectile weapon -upon hit it burns enemies for a short time -can be a sniper in long range -has healing debuff from 23% to 50% and duration is 2-6 seconds -you heal less upon bing healed by medics and health kits when equipped candy cane -it decreases ur default ammo by 40% on wearer -it mini crits on players when they are below 25% but the stock bat and holy mackerel crits when enemies are below 25% health soda popper -it only reloads 50% faster when ur in the effects of the hype meter -upon wearing it you have no double jump lupara db/force-a-nature -it does not have 10% more pellets but rather it has 20% more spread perceptionist/back-scatter -it has 10% less pellets rather than 20% less accurate -reloads 20% slower and the reason why the spy if female in tc2 is because they will get copyrighted if they make the spy male

TC2 is okay and I think it's severly limited by roblox. For example, the chat filter roblox has. TC2 can do nothing about that, and TF2 just has complete free speech.

I've played this game before I kinda don't like it now hear me out TC2 fans its really well made but its very limited by robloxs Engine and its not as Enjoyable as tf2 where as tf2 you can download source mods and play these awesome alternative mods and its actually FUN now take that as you will but you can actually have fun and gimmicky loadouts and also playing as the trooper and doing the trolldier gimmick loadout sucks because it nerfed into the ground it doesn't deal a lot of A lot of damage and especially demoknight your melee doesn't become crit boosted anymore (except other shields im pretty sure dont quote me on that) so it pretty much just forces you to play normally for the most part and its really really dumb if the game was solely based on tf2 and inspired by it, it should let players at least have some sort of fucking fun and i played it with my friend and he didn't like it very much he pretty much called the game shit I dont really blame him he was not having a good time but I will say this it has potential if you could have more fun playing my friend did not and by all means its not a bad game if the game was more tame and more casual and removed the nerfs for demoknight and trolldier I can see myself pouring more hours into this game but untill then this has been Former use to be president Bush signing off.

The only pay to win was gamepass for some golden weapon and that hasn't been around for a while, and everything ingame that could give a competitive is easy to get with funds just by playing for a bit (About premium thing for 400 robux, 5 dollars, the functional reskins in that have been added to the actual store now)
I played on an alt once because I went a meme loadout. Comically false: every weapon is 10 funds which you get quick and now there's bundles which gives you three weapons at the price of 15. This comment isn't even subjectively right.

Both are fairly balanced when it comes to the entirety of TF2 but people don't play every maps in the game and in some maps, Sniper and Marksman are incredibly powerful and it's a living hell for people who like playing on those maps. However, the quickscope damage nerf of Marksman does fix the issue of preventing the ambush entirely since the damage isn't enough to one shot them in a lot of situations.
Random Crit and random bullet spread suck and that's why I play TC2 more for casual (Because if TC2 uses the TF2 competitve mode settings so no random crit, no random bullet spread and no having an entire team being a single class which brings me to the next topic).
TF2 Engineer has a problem in casual of stacking a lot of Engineers and having them reinforcing each other's nest which can be frustrating to deal with if you're the opponent as it makes push almost impossible without relying on the suidical Demoman, suicidal Soldier, suicidal Spy or Sniper to take down the nest first, only for them to build them back like nothing or not even destroyed them at all. Since TC2 uses the competitive settings for the game, that situation cannot happen in an extreme case. Best is only 2 Mechanics which Anni can easily bombard the nest at ease with just 2 Sentries. While this setting is rather frustraing, it's better to not have a team filled with Mechanics in Payland maps than not being able to have more than 2 of them. Not the best solution but at least it's something.
Gacha system personally is bad to me but I get it that gambling is fun to a lot of people but in TC2, you don't have to go through robot genocide (AKA MVM) or burn your irl money just to get them. You still have to grind but it's a lot easier.
And the lastt part is that TC2 isn't infested with bots unlike TF2 right now.

yeah ive been there since the start, I started playing in 2016 and the game was pretty cool, i didn't even know what tf2 was until 2020. sadly, i left tc2 and moved onto other stuff, i came back in 2021 and im now level 146 or something (somewhere in the 140's)
tc2 is the best tf2 ripoff game hands down, its got its own humor, sniper/marksmans razorback that just says: "knife goes here :)" and even has some joke voice lines that are rare too get. tc2 is like no other tf2 ripoff at this point, i could say its a different game. you don't even have to pay real money to get funds, you just play the game.
theres less bots which is a big breath of fresh air. in conclusion, tc2 is such an underrated game, some people don't even know it exists even though its been out for long, glad its getting some more attention.

@@lolfool866 yeah i know about that, im glad. but im an agent main and marksman main in tc2. once i go to tf2 i suck at trickstabbing because its a different engine, so i just go to sniper. once i do, i get kicked from the server because of the bot invasion thing and they think im a bot.
im on a tightrope choosing if i should go sniper or just go another class. but like i enjoy playing sniper. i enjoy playing all of the classes but sniper kinda hits different to me, and no im not that edgy sniper main. and so i just go direct hit soldier or something or another class.
and what's worse is that im a f2p now, i lost my account because steam support didn't email me a code because its been a long time since i went on steam. i hate steam guard.
EDIT: also going back to tc2, i love how they added new sappers to agent, something that tf2 has never done. its so simple yet pretty clever.

honestly, i call tc2 a "sidegrade" to tf2. In return for weapons being more balanced, and the gameplay being more enjoyable (no bots, sniper being "nerfed" & no random crits), in return for it being on roblox so the ping is useless, there being no economy, and some thing called a "sidestab" that makes you do minicrits when you stab the side of someone, and with the roblox hitboxes and ping, it's a f***ing nightmare, and (unless im playing medic or sweaty) i would kill myself to make sure the spy really got the kill
Having an anti-friendly "ideology" and being more competitive can be and upside or downside depending on who you ask.
i personally believe it to be better, there are many games on roblox for your friendly gameplay, and with limited servers (once again, it's roblox), having a friendly server is just annoying and now with the battle bass and contracts, it's making sure the game is more competitive.
As a level 72 player of this game, i can comfirm that Typical Colors 2 is no rip-off, the game has more things than TF2, such as: Its own proper currency that can be used to obtain weapons, bundles, tools and hat crates.
A battle pass system added in the summer update, which can grant event hats, reskins and funds if completed for a certain amount of XP.
And more maps, such as: CTF_Mach, PL_Boundry, KoTH_Rooftops, ect.
In simple words, those who say its a rip-off are either idiots who cannot waste just 1 hour on it, or just idiots blaming the game as they are idiots and cannot manuver the rebalanced or new weaponry that TC2 grants.

no the best weapon in game is the "Ham", since it's the only weapon that can random crit. (yes this is a real stat on the weapon, it's an admin weapon but can be found in randomizer, so if u get it while playing that mode, well have fun before someone rolls up with a M60)
don't forget the fact that stock weapons are generally pretty good in tc2 cuz they also give you small or big buffs with no downsides
as a long time tc2 player it's cool seeing tf2 players coming to tc2 to check it out.

TC2 player here. When compared to Casual, TC2 is easily superior. Asides from a small map rotation (which doesn't hinder gameplay that much), the only real issue is that some people have shit ping, but that's only an issue because *you* have bad internet. Other people with ping can be annoying (agents, marksmen).
Asides from that? Better balancing, updates introduce new and exciting weapons and an entire revamp of systems in the game at best and at worst only giving us new cosmetics and mehish items, but unlike TF2 it in the end does get significant updates and is treated well by the devs even though it reaches 200-400 players playing at max. The devs give a shit about the game and even MvM has been hinted to have been getting worked on. It also has official gamemodes like Vs. Boss, Deathmatch, Infection and Randomizer to name the most important ones (imo). That and the game actually runs well unlike TF2's napoleonic code.
TF2 does best it at community servers (i love slender fort), MvM and etc, though. But it's undeniable that TC2 is a great game for something that was made by mostly *two devs as a passion project.* It has my respect.
Edit: Decided to add some stuff here because I didn't talk about the bad stuff, ig.
Some high levels are douches. That's only an issue if you can't handle that stuff. Not all ofc, but this isn't shocking when you remember it's Roblox (kids!). Asides from that, Arsonist (obv what class it is) is meh in this game because of the first flames when you're using your flamethrower don't hit and the Dragon's Fury has been broken since last update of typing this. Agent has a minicrit trickstab system which I personally despise because it punishes people with good internet unlike the 1000 ping Agent. I can't really think of more issues, though. The level 50+ allowance to votekick could be controversial to some, but I think it's fine because Rolve also has a VAC system like Valve for all their games, making it so you have the Roblox anti-cheat and an additional one. It's super rare to actually need to votekick a cheater. I have kicked some obvious closet exploiters, though.

I think tf2 is just better to play not mainly bcs it have like better graphic or animations but bcs you can do much more than in tc2. In tf2 you have mvm, servers with funny maps like higher tower, only crits servers, 10x 100x 1000x servers, you have freedom to play so for example you will not be banned for being friendly, better physic bcs its on source. I was playing tc2 some time to check it out but i fell like I will be bored after playing 20 hours and i will have nothing else to do, but in tf2 I have 800 hours and I'm still not bored.

I've played this game before I kinda don't like it now hear me out TC2 fans its really well made but its very limited by robloxs Engine and its not as Enjoyable as tf2 where as tf2 you can download source mods and play these awesome alternative mods and its actually FUN now take that as you will but you can actually have fun and gimmicky loadouts and also playing as the trooper and doing the trolldier gimmick loadout sucks because it nerfed into the ground it doesn't deal a lot of A lot of damage and especially demoknight your melee doesn't become crit boosted anymore (except other shields im pretty sure dont quote me on that) so it pretty much just forces you to play normally for the most part and its really really dumb if the game was solely based on tf2 and inspired by it, it should let players at least have some sort of fucking fun and i played it with my friend and he didn't like it very much he pretty much called the game shit I dont really blame him he was not having a good time but I will say this it has potential if you could have more fun playing my friend did not and by all means its not a bad game if the game was more tame and more casual and removed the nerfs for demoknight and trolldier I can see myself pouring more hours into this game but untill then this has been Former use to be president Bush signing off.
