Remember Rodney coming to City and also leaving. He was my fav player. Loved hom
That was absolutely wonderful. Infectious enthusiasm. The obsession with winning is ridiculous.
It was always a pleasure to watch Rodney Marsh, whether he was at City or anywhere else ..... the guy was a real entertainer.
This guy was and still is my favourite. He was worth the entrance fee alone.I remember going to West Ham once and whilst at Euston station the team went through the barrier and Rodney had the longest scarf i have ever seen around his neck! Thanks for the memories Rodney.Always a great..
Rodney’s comments about Alan Oakes - so true
Absolutely brilliantly skilful, player.I remember vividly his goal against derby county and an overhead kick against QPR. I remember him playing in the league cup final against wolves in 1974 and how he didn’t score I’ll never know. Shame how Tony Book got rid of him because he wasn’t a team player. Allegedly he fell out with Dennis tueart shame. Great memories of a fabulous entertainer.
I can still remember kicking a ball in the streets of Cheadle Hulme & hearing Rodney was coming to City. Loved him at QPR too.
Super Blues mcfc Dublin ireland great interview 👏👏
Many happy memories watching Rodney Marsh, the “oh Rodney,Rodney “ song was my favourite chant in the playground , however the reds In the school used to sing a derogatory version of it. Thanks for posting Ian.
What an interview absolutely brilliant 👏. Love Rodney Marsh
I assume recorded during COVID times..but no matter. Rodney bless him..never to blame for '72...or '74. A legend...still 💥💙
It was a joy to see him play at QPR. We always went home smiling.
Ian you get some greats guest mate loved this well done blue 👏🏻👏🏻
Oh Rodney! Rodney! Saw him make his debut vs Chelsea. A City legend.
Rodney was primarily an entertainer .At QPR with Les Allen & Mark Lazarus every game was a joy....Great days*
I loved the way Rodney represented City on his stint as a pundit of Gillette Soccer Saturday. Football had moved on to an overly commercialized sport at this point and City were left flagging for many years but it was always nice to see the “Ex Man City Player” against his name. A bridge between where the team had once been and would eventually get back to.
Brilliant, loved that Ian and you can’t help but love rodders.
It’s such a shame he’s not a pundit on our screens anymore as he’d certainly light up the bilge itv and bbc have at this World Cup
He’s on SiriusXMFC in USA - I regularly join him for a chat
@@CheesyForeverBlue I’ll check that out,thanks
Topman Rodney. Absolute legend
Oh, great video Ian!!! Rodney is a star, an absolute throwback to when footballers played for the fans, love it! 💙
Remember Marsh and kiddo tackling each other at maine Rd both fall8ng over Marsh getting up 1st and running off with the ball as if nothing happened ,great memories
Like watching him it's always great listening to him especially when he heaps praise on one of my heroes the great very underrated (but not by Blues) Alan Oakes .Unlike many I never though he lost us the title as he says he even missed some games through injury. I think we lost it because certain players were a bit jealous of him ,there where times they never passed to him when he had a better chance of scoring either so to blame Rodney alone isn't on positively THE most skilfull flamboyant player including Gio I ever saw at Maine Road.Great these chats Ian as usual keep em coming.
another stunning interview Cheesy
bbc manchester not same without you but we'll not go there Cheesy
Amazing turnaround! I hope this is not just covering over the cracks.great VLOG Ian ss usual.
My hero loved watching Rodney
great player,,felt sorry about certain comments made when we bought him..i dont believe it unsettled the team,,after all 1 man does not make a team
Delighted he mentioned Alan Oakes. Luved Oakesie. If I'm not mistaken, he had the fewest yellow cards and i dont think he was ever sent off. For a defender he was unbelievable. One of my favourites. Luved Rodney too, Jack Grealish reminds of him, without the goals.😅🤣😂
Alan Oakes was my dad's favourite. We always went with my dad's mate, who slagged Alan off at every opportunity. It was weird, but as always certain City fans have always needed a scapegoat. Lately it's been Sterling, he left so it's Grealish. Some things never change.
I'm with Rodney, Colin Bell is our GOAT, Alan Oakes was a complete player, and God how did we not win the league the year he joined.
Brilliant stuff 👏
Great memories of Rodney.....met him in Ft Lauderdale years ago.......Jack Grealish has a bit of the Rodders style
hi ian allthough i liked his flair and ability i felt malcom was wrong to bring him in to the team we had lea bell and sumerbee but does greahish remind you of him great skills not not a city player? think about it ian young never had the silky skill but scored big goals in big games but thank you for a great vlog ian i miss the kipax feeling but i underrstand progresse
I remember the Manchester Evening News said in final games of the season City had bigger gates than United. Eventually we lost out but Gordon Banks broke our hearts not Rodney.
Great player that RM was, he slowed up a very good Manchester City team at the time.. CTID
Mad ..city won bugger all with him
'bobby Charlton was pulling his hair out' now we know youre lying rodney 🤣🤣🤣🤣
We have no history apparently.
Many thanks! Become a YT god - *PromoSM*!
