I'm about to get my first e-reader, so thanks for this overview. I was torn between the new kindle basic and paperwhite, but this little gem is like the basic, with the perks of the paperwhite, without the massive cost hike. I'd love a video about Calibre.
I just got the Clara BW and I love it! I first bought the Libra Color, but after much hesitation I exchanged it for the Clara BW. Not that I didn't like the Libra Color, but for me the contrast is much better on the Clara BW, and it also has a much sharper image. The colors are nice for book covers and highlights, but other than that it doesn't add much. I only read books and no comics or manga's so for me color is not necessary, I prefer a better image 😁
@@peaceandfaithx the colored ones are so cool, but for now the screen quality is *just* not the same. I'm sure in a few years technology will have developed and they are better competitors!
@@Sawol_ss oh how unfortunate! But glad kobo will work for you. It's also very easy to add book files to your kobo, so even if it's not available in the store, you can always put it on there yourself (:
hi I'm thinking of getting an ebook reader, and I'm having trouble deciding. I do want a smaller sized ebook reader, like a kindle paperwhite. I was thinking about the Kobo Clara, but it doesn't have google drive or overdrive, so I was debating whether it'd be possible to import ebooks from my computer to my Kobo. I don't really understand the whole thing. The kobo library feature is also pretty nice, but idk if the Kobo Clara (which is the one I want from Kobo) can do that. I would want something less than $300, so if there are any other ebook reader brands, please let me know. Here are my preferred features: 1. Can have comfort light/ light that doesn't give me migraines at night. 2. Google Drive/Overdrive/ability to read imported ebooks 3. small 4. preferably no complicated stylus/page turner things (im okay with buttons) I'd appreciate all the help, and thank ya'll
@@Killian-y5w as for your other question, I do think the kobo Clara BW is currently the best option for you! It has everything you're asking for, it has overdrive access in certain regions, so you could look into it and see if it also works in your region 🥰
PDF is often a bit finicky, but transferring via Bluetooth is not possible as far as I'm aware. There is a website called send.djazz.se which you can use to send files from your phone to your device, maybe that could work for you? ❤️
How does typing feel like on it? Like when doing a search? I'm not expecting it to be like on a phone or computer, but since the screen is supposed to be faster, I'm hoping it's not as as laggy as a super old e-reader from 8 years ago (which is what I'm upgrading from).
@@Cezille07 typing is fine!! It's not super fast like a phone indeed, but I'd say it's fast enough. The difference in speed with the Nia from 2020 is already very noticeable, so I think you'll like the upgrade 🤗
@@kezhalelhousolo9622 you can buy books in the kobo store / with kobo plus, their subscription. *or* you can download books online and transfer them to your kobo for free, I will make a video about how to do that later ❤️
