I got almost this exact guitar off of them last year (mine is 12 fret). I love it and play it almost exclusively daily. I'd highly suggest this instrument to anyone. Really great playability, fit and finish is top notch, and is one of the best sounding guitars out there to my ear. If I were to worry about needing to be loud, I'd still buy this guitar and pick up an acoustic amp. Great guitar and great place to buy it from.

Great review. Just purchased one. Everything he says is true. It is a bit smaller and lighter, but that is the intentional design. It is balanced and sounds mystical with nice powerful low ends. I absolutely freaking love it. Through my Marshall acoustic amp it truly is heaven to play. You will not be disappointed at all.

Joe, how does it sound compared to an AD22e? Thanks for the demo.

Great review, as always. Can you please comment on how it compares to the AD22e which you also reviewed recently? Thanks!

On paper, they are nearly identical in all dimensions, same body type, neck dimensions, shape (aside from the cutout). The biggest difference is the price point and level of flair (sunburst, fancy inlays, binding). Otherwise, the back/side wood choices. Sound wise, I personally prefer the AD22e significantly. The AD22e has more of a "woody" sound in my opinion. What I don't like about the 322ce is that it sounds muffled to me when strumming chords, like it wants a larger body(?) while the AD22e sounds really clear when strumming chords. Not sure if the difference is due to wood or something else but all the measurements are the same so it has to be the wood or the strings? Joe, I hope you can weigh in here because I'd love some feed back on the difference too. As it stands, I'm going with the AD22e if I go with a Taylor over a Martin but I'm still debating. The 322ce sounds more Taylorish to me but I really love the AD22e sound.

I'm after this model. I have a Taylor on lay-away, but as soon as it's paid off, I'm getting this one, a 322ce, V-Class. Not to be confused with the 12-Fret which has a slotted head-stock. Don't want a slotted head.

I did not expect such a rich, full-bodied sound. Can't wait to get this one. The one I have on lay-away is no slouch either.

Does a mahogany top perform better with a 12 fret body connection? This instrument does sound better than an all mahogany body.

I feel that the 12 fret and mahogany top took off just the right amount of janglyness from the top end to make it perfect to my ear. I feel it has more to do with the location of the bridge on the 12 fret, but top for sure adds.

Just listening to a bunch of review videos, I think the 12 fret sounds less muffled and maybe a better bass but not much. But between the three I'm leaning towards the AD22e which is also a 14 fret and mahogany top but sapele sides... just not as pretty. I wonder if the other two open up with age.

@@saintless I ultimately ended up buying a Martin D-15. I grew tired of the 00 body size of my instruments and found that the large body hog delivered the best and biggest sound in a mahogany instrument. And I decided I wanted an all mahogany instrument not just the top. If Martin can do this for $1400 why can't Taylor? I'm tired of these companies trying different woods to save costs using various excuses. I only use mahogany or rose wood as tone woods. I listened to the AD22e against a Martin 000-15. The Martin was the clear winner in volume and that special hog sound. And isn't that the reason to get a mahogany instrument, that sound? I just wanted more of that sound so I went with the D-15. Also, I learned that I like the 1& 11/16" nut spacing that the Martin uses with the exception 000-SM on the 15 series I can handle any neck, but these Martin low profile necks are great. And finally, you buy a Martin because it is a Martin. My new solid mahogany Dreadnought cost $1400 3 months ago. Martin holds it's value for resale and where can you get a new Martin at that price?

Agreed… unless this guy is like 5’7” tall, which is possible? That guitar appears much larger than my AD22.
