That is nice I am a 58 year old businessman from Japan, I remember back then I was playing this music when my father was visiting me. When I was a kid he always got crazy and destroyed my vinyls when he saw I do listen to non japanese music. He only allowed japanese music to be played. When he arrived at my place he also wanted to destroy it and yell that I listen to foreign music , when I told him it was from a Japanese guy he liked it.
I don't know whether to like or not like this comment.
thanks for sharing your memories🌹
I am 21 year old college student in America, my father has always supported my musical interests and talents. He motivates and pushes me to play better. I often share music from other cultures, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. Of course, he is sometimes hesitant to enjoy them, but I am able to visualize and express the music to him and share it. He may not always like it, but he can appreciate it. I am truly grateful for my father's influence in my life. I am sorry that your father was not similar in that aspect, but I am glad that at least you could share this artist together. I am also glad that you and I could share and appreciate this artist together.
I would find it very difficult to maintain a relationship with anyone who whimsically destroyed my property, parent or not. At least as an adult you can enjoy your life free from such harms.
thanks to share that hirohiko, god bless you and be happy with your music!
I am from Guatemala. I like this music very much. It makes me feel connected to the world.
Greeting 👋
This creation exemplifies the essence of "living on".
Hiroshi may have passed on, but his creations live on in a way, capturing a moment in time where Hiroshi was still alive, a different time, but the essence of his creative spirit can be tangibly felt today, and days to come.
💙
I've listened to this album at work.
I've listened while studying Japanese.
I've listened while falling asleep in a Tokyo hotel room.
I've listened first thing in the morning and late at night.
And it has been perfect for all those situations and more.

We are all so very alone in this world. We will never be able to perfectly share with others how we perceive or experience life. We may forever remain little islands adrift through consciousness, fading in and out on the horizon. Know this: if you do feel alone or forsaken, out there somewhere, at some time in the past there is a person in this abyss who has shared those feelings. I hope others stand up for you if that time comes when you need them too and if they don't then I hope you'll believe me when I say that you can make it through this storm. "Be like the cliff against which the waves continually break, yet it stands firm and tames the fury of the water around it." Don't let your perceptions of the world around you injure your mind. That was all I was able to do in this moment. I was here in the past thinking about you in the future.
O
That's beautiful. These are truly strange times we are living, sometimes i feel like we are currently entering puberty as a society, like we are barely starting to know a little more about ourselves and what we are capable of. Maybe not even that...
This is the only good comment on RUclips.
a touching sentiment... thanks for sharing
You totally nailed it!
When I hear this I imagine myself in a room made of glass with a comfortable couch inside. The room is deep in the rainforest and there is a rainstorm.
Very vivid and beautiful idea
might wanna look up ‘Underwater Computing’ or ‘Solarpunk’ (the album by Vapor Memory) - they’ve both got very similar premises/“vibes” to the situation you’ve described here!
then someone explaining the Matrix to you and calling you Neo?
C5😮
@@Camdavis11 honestly I think it's kind of sad. Just being a rainforest during a rainstorm would be an incredible experience, but he's tagged on this glass room with a couch, an idea that can only come from our over-coddled modern western lifestyle where we're scared of anything that isn't built for our comfort and convenience.
I can't express my love for this album enough. This music sounds like it simply exist, like it's part of the nature. The fact that a human being was able to create something this beautiful is just beyond words.
Yesss! Yoshimura’s music reminds me of those gadgets that get plugged onto plants and emit their music

Only one who wishes to be healed
@@soapwork9723 *one who is open and present. Wishing for something to be true does not make it true. Control is an illusion, but if we let go of this illusion, we let go of wishing for things to be different than they are and become aligned with the true natural state of being that was already here all along. We re-unite with life when we are open and present to what is here now, and dissolve the illusions of separation and isolation. Connection is healing. Balance is healing. We are already connected and balanced, we can't find these qualities by searching for them, only by realising what is.

Never been a big ambient listener, my friend showed me this guy and I'm hooked, almost every night I go to sleep with this on and it really clears my head, for some reason makes me think back to my child hood and past memories etc, so peaceful
I fell deeply in love with all of the magnificent music of Hiroshi Yoshimura 10 years ago, and all of it is still on heavy repeat. Such beautiful peaceful brilliant music. Such perfect bliss.
Wow, how meditative and cleansing this album is. I love this guy's work so much. His music is so... clear, and clean, ya know? It's air and water. Who would have thought such serene gentleness could be so powerful?
全ての懐かしい音楽などを加えてどっさりと東京メトロポリタンテレビジョン様などに任せていたならば幸せで便りにしている皆様が微笑んでいますよ。
its the yamaha dx7 digital synthesizer, thats why everything sounds clear.
“It’s air and water” - so true wow
@@InfiniteRhombus that, and musical artistry on the producers part. if it were any other ambient musician nowadays, they’d try to ‘fill dead air’ with unending beats & constant chord progression.
Yashimura, however, understands that silence is as much an instrument as a synthesiser or any other conventional noisemaker. it’s practically auditory negative space!
After listening to hundreds of ambient/new age tracks, I thought it would not be easy to surprise me with yet another instrumental masterpiece of this genre. But Hiroshi Yoshimura is a new genius discovered by me. One could hardly expect to find more relaxing music. I am in awe of his talent. Thank you.

I remember listen to this when I was talking wih someone special for me....
She's been so far away from me and I never saw her face to face but I loved her so much.
I miss that moment and all I can have now are memories that hurts but...
I just think that this album shock me in a spiritual form, even of the pain for yesterday memories, I only keep my mind with feelings and dreams.

This was the first track of Hiroshi Yoshimura to find my ears. I was hooked in an instant. There is a complexity in the simplicity of it. I don't know why or how but this mans music makes me feel so good. Looking forward to the day this gets a vinyl reissue.

This is such a super cool unique body of art!
Especially "Something Blue" I can tell you were vibing out forsure 😌👌🏽💙
This is probably the most seamless piece of music I've ever heard. Time passes so peacefully with this
Este álbum siempre me ha fascinado, pero desde que me acompañó en un trip de d m t y se ligó tanto a la experiencia, cada vez que lo escucho siento la interdimensionalidad de esta música!
that’s actually really interesting. that you have now a “connection “ with this song because you was tripping and listening to this. i might have to try that sometime

RUclips is such an amazing place. I can experience music from a completely different time period and from a vastly different culture. I try not to think too much about what the artists felt when making the music, because it makes me a bit sad for some reason.

And here I am, once again drawn by these melodies that every time I hear them, I feel they have something important to tell me. At this moment, going through a complex time in a recent relationship but with a woman I love. I listen to these melodies as if they were capable of translating what my heart feels; or what I need right now; just a bit of peace in my heart.

I feel like ambient music and classical music aren't similar really but I feel like they're brothers in the music world tbh.
the amount of silence is perfect, music lies in everything, even in the 無 and in the 間 between chords.

The influence of Hiroshi Yoshimura and other Japanese new-age innovators can be heard throughout Nintendo's music, even to this day. The track Surround off this album sounds like it could be a temple theme in Ocarina of Time.
Hiroshi Yoshimura and Japanese ambient music as a whole definitely influenced/inspired Nintendo when making the music for the apps on the Wii, DSi, 3DS, and Wii U. I like this music and Brian Eno type stuff. Because those consoles are the most nostalgic stuff to me :)
