Even at slower speed these arpeggios are REALLY difficult to get precisely in time. Ian is so automatic that he doesn't appear to have to think about it at all.
@@snoozedoctor it’all in his strumming hand, and changing up time signatures. Simple 70’s chords but he elevates them like no other. I have the song down now, thank you!
Haha. Yeah, he has a really precise pinkie, a digit Govan has described as "God's cruel joke", not that he has any problem with his pinkie, it would seem.
Song never gets old...thanks doc
I agree. One for the ages.
Imagine having to play this every night for 50 years.
I could dig it ... just being able to play guitar as well as Ian would make my day, or life. or 50 years.

if I play this 3/4 speed track at 3/4 speed, I can almost keep up 😕
It's a hard song! If I don't practice those arpeggios for a few weeks I struggle.
I’ve been trying to play this correctly for 40 year! Thank you for this.
Glad it helps!

One thing I've noticed about playing Ian's guitar parts is that having a 2 inch pinky is not a plus.🤨
