How do you care for the Aurea? It’s amount and pattern looks exactly like mine yet my half moon leaves or patchy ones keep browning off whenever a new leaf starts forming… it gets the same exact care as my highly variegated albo and Thai which have not grown ever lol
how was your experience overall with plant con? was it overwhelming or fun, expensive to go as a regular person vs a content creator, did you feel like you got some good deals or that things were overpriced etc?
Plant con was a lot of fun and there were so many plants that are only available online around here. It was not overly expensive. I definitely felt like I got a good deal. Even though my queen anthurium didn’t have roots, it was fine because I know that I can root it. If I had purchased it online, it would’ve been twice the price and probably wouldn’t have had roots either. I don’t remember how much I paid for early admission but it wasn’t that much more and I got to enjoy myself before it got busy. I had so much fun that I didn’t even pull out my phone to record but a few times.
I usually add about a 3 inch layer and then put the plant in. That way I can just have a reservoir at the bottom. And if the roots want to go down there, they have that option. It’s also super important to fertilize with liquid fertilizer to. I feed all of my plants with General hydroponics three part fertilizer. Except my carnivorous plants. I like this brand because I can add extra bloom to my begonias and Hoyas.
lol, that’s my kid. He is trolling me. He thinks it’s hysterical. I don’t know why my leaves are melting, but I got a philodendron white wizard that kept melting one time and I do believe those were temperature related. I agree Jacqueline.
Has anyone noticed a funny surprise between monstera leaves? 😂😂😂❤️
Yes… he is trolling me 🤣 good eye!
Great Florida Beauty!
Thanks sis! ❤

I have heard about people using silica but have never tried it. I might give it a try too

@@sailingkeao9531 thanks!!
How is Lecca .. do you fill only with water 1 inch and not more?
Yes, I keep about an inch or 2 of water.
@@sailingkeao9531 ok that's interesting. so after they prop in water I can just toss lecca in and reduce the water and that's it? They won't wilt?

Wait, what is leaf melt?! I think that's been happening to some of my leaves. Also, why did some guy pop out of the bushes like that?!!
My ac was at 72 for too long and my silver sword had a leaf melt. I put it in my milbo greenhouse cabinet asap.

@@sailingkeao9531 Absolutely. My sword has been perfect for months and the one day it gets hit my AC at 70 and boom. Melt down.
Awe that’s a real bummer. I’m a little too familiar with those tragedies. 😢
