To me, there is nothing in the world better than sitting around a campfire with friends on a cold winter night, under a clear sky with a blanket of stars.
AA videos are exquisite! The blend of music and scenery is transcendental and who doesn't appreciate a botany lesson while we're at it? Just wonderful!
My favorite part of all your videos is the building of campfire, eating your food and the campfire talks. It's almost nostalgic to a situation we all long for but never experience.
I enjoy your videos....Keep up the good work. Maybe you guys could stop by on your way out sometime and shoot some pool? My wife could fix some Bulguarian cuisine, we live in Knoxville...Anyway, I thought I would mention that the wind does not affect a thermometer. So, the fluctuation int the temperature may be actual lower temps or it could be the sun was shining on the thermometer when it read higher. Brian
I’ve saved this adventure for today, it’s been a rough few weeks and this is the best medicine to re-group and take a hike with good company! It was a rainy afternoon here and not the least bit gloomy. Thank you for continuing to share your adventures with us. It was nice to “get-away” for awhile today 😊
Best camping-hiking as entertainment channel on youtube. The well defined personalities and characters captured so professionally and with so much production value. The only videos that I have found that make you feel as if you are experiencing the trip, instead of feeling like a summary afterwards. Well done.
I hike vicariously through you guys. I did a lot of hiking in the smoky mountains in my younger days but now I have health issues and must use a rolling walker to get around. Watching your videos takes me back to the good old days. Please keep making your videos as I enjoy them immensely.
I’m in the same situation at 74 years old and with COPD issues. I hiked extensively in the White Mountains and in Maine but now I travel along with through hikers and of course with Adventure Archives and most any other nature explorations on RUclips.
I booked my site at blind lake before this video was posted and I’m super happy to have seen it! I’m leaving for the trailhead in a hour. Glad to get a preview of my hike before I go.
One of these days I’m going to cross paths with you guys 😅 my girlfriend and I actually became official while camping together at Martha’s Pretty Point along this trail last fall! So glad I found your channel, my girlfriend said Andrew and I are so much alike when it comes to obsessing over plant and fungi identification. I was also happy to see that we’ve camped at a few of the same spots in the smokies, Gregory bald is incredible during the azalea blooms! Thank you for the videos though, I’ll be sure to say hi if we run into each other 🤘
Great video y’all. I plan on going to Virgin Falls next month, first time in 48 years. I last went when I was a Boy Scout back in 1976. At that time we did go in Sheep Cave. We filled our canteens in it, and I remember seeing crawfish that were white, with no eyes. As for the Blackhawk flying through, it most likely from Fort Campbell on a training mission. I live south of Nashville and see them flying by frequently…
This was 100% classic AA. Love it. I love that you expand your horizons and stay tried and true at the same time. Love hearing you use songs from when you first started. Thanks for the episode 💛
The shout-out videos were next level!!!! Love it! You guys are so amazing! You changed my life and my wife's life forever and for the better! Never stop making these videos! Love you all!
One of my favorite videos/hikes in a long long time. Of course the more strenuous hikes are cool, but the energy and happiness you all had in this video is why I started watching. Thanks for bringing it back to the beginning. Love you guys!! Keep it up
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE HIKE EVER!!!!!!!!!! That’s what hiking should be taking your time staying a few nights so you get to see and explore all natures wonderment!!! The land my favorite like the Smokey’s!!!!! Wish y’all would do more of these laid back hikes…I truly enjoyed it…thank you and I pray to see more land like this..like another world 😊🫶💜
You guys did it again!! I can't tell you how much your videos have helped me on a daily basis. With the need to unplug from social media and overstimulating content on youtube, your channel has been a savior. You have been saviors. Thank you a million times for making these masterpieces. 🙏
I look forward to your videos everyday, even though you guys only upload like once every 2 months. 😆 Please do backpacking like this one. It was the original backpacking theme that you guys did and the most magical. More camp fires and more over night camping.
1:24:41.....Not sure about anyone else but this music seriously makes me think of Animal Crossing, ESPECIALLY with the starry night sky.I'm kinda expecting to 👀 Blathers from the museum walking around🦉🌌😊.
@@AdventureArchives I knew it!!!!!!I've been playing Animal Crossing since I was just a little girl on the GameCube so I'm so familiar with their style of music, it's part of the sound of my childhood😄.It's pretty obvious you guys would probably like those games too since you can play them even when our Ohio weather sometimes turns sour🤗.Keep up the great videos & lovely music🏕️👍🏻.
Now this is what originally got me to subscribe to your channel. Hiking, campfires, campfire cooking, beautiful sceneries, interesting plant identification. Just need that touch of the old AA music to fully complete it. Overall thanks for going back to old school hiking and camping.
It's been a while since I checked in on your channel (been watching a lot of junk lately) and I reminded how impressive your videos are! You guys are the ones who inspired me to create my own outdoors channel. You're the original and still the best! Your videos are a truly imersive experience, with production quality and attention to detail second to none. Bravo to the best outdoor adventure channel on RUclips!
Nothing more magical than watching the art of water cascading over boulders. What a fulfilling hiking adventure. Andrew’s narration of plant life is what I look forward to most
I forgot to mention but Fall Creek Falls State Park, TN is a must see. There are multiple waterfalls which includes the highest free fall waterfall east of the Mississippi River. Good swimming too, and backpacking trails. Brian
Hey guys! I enjoy your videos! That appears to be a cuff style raccoon trap you found on the sign @ 27:30 in the video. Put bait inside; stick the chiseled end in the ground and anchor it well (that's what the large metal corkscrew is for). The raccoon puts his hand in to grab the bait; trap springs and pins the arm to the inside of the cuff. In addition, raccoons don't generally let go once they grab something they want (like food). Their clenched fist is larger than their arm and further prevents the animal from getting free from this trap (due to the curved shape of the piece that pins it's arm).
I always find it really cool that there's always someone who watch our videos that can answer a question for us or provide more information on something! Thanks John!
Another Great adventure. I really like the hike, stay a few days and explore versus a hump and different campsite every nite. Like you said in video…whatever way you do it, is the right way if you had fun.
Very cool to see it in the winter time. I literally hiked this trail like 2 weeks ago and the contrast in season is significant! Me visiting from Colorado also found it to be a very tame trail for backpacking, though very scenic nonetheless.
I wasn’t super excited this morning with a pile of laundry and dirty dishes to wake up to, but seeing a new vid was up renewed me😁✨ I get to fold clothes w the bois👍
So calming. Love the music, love the tips...have you guys considered entertaining more bush crafting while enjoying some downtime? For example, three long sticks across the back rests would have made a great table for your lunch. Can you review some knots for ridge lines and the purpose for the structures you put up? Anything educational regarding camping is always useful. Thanks so much.
Glad you got to bring the gang back to Virgin Falls. There is another entrance to Virgin Falls if you ever come back, it has a waterfall at the start. Yall should do Roan Highlands/Carver's Gap>19e or the Art Loeb Trail for a future southern trip.
Sparkling, graceful waterfalls, the sounds of boots on the trail, the music of cascades and streams and your own music to heighten the moods (and Bryan’s guitar!) Golden light through leaves. Expert camera work that puts us right on the trail with you, or sharing the comradery of your campfire! You capture the essence of backpacking. Thanks so much for taking us with you again!
Wow, I enjoyed this trip with you fellas! I didn’t know what to expect when I clicked on it, but was pleasantly surprised! I can’t keep your names straight, but that one fellow must be a biologist because he knew a lot about the diverse flora and fauna in that area. Most of us just walk on by without really noticing them, let alone knowing their names and how they grow. I also enjoyed your camaraderie and that you all share with one another while having witty banter! Great video and look forward to seeing more. It sounds like you all have been all over the world. Stay safe and have fun.😊
I've done the hike over 20 times! one of my favorites. The cave at the top of Virgin has a waterfall inside it way back in the back. Also, Lost Creek Cave...the waterfall is amazing but if you go inside the cave..it's huge...winds around and you have to climb up on a section and then drop back down to see another cave waterfall. The whole area is amazing.
I love being able to see the landscape in the wintertime. You can see mountains that you would not even know were there! This is an episode that reminds me of why I started watching AA in 2018! I love it and the shout outs are especially funny! 😂
These videos and these guys are great. I really do enjoy these videos!!!💪💯 🍃🌹🍃, Lizzy GodBless & GodSpeed!🙏 For sure nothing better then watching another episode of Adventure Archives!!!💯👍
You can climb to the top of the falls pretty easily and you can get behind the waterfall about halfway up and there’s a perfect spot to chill. It’s so peaceful. Was hoping you guys would show that off.
Another amazing video!! 🌲I feel so thankful I found your channel a couple weeks ago! You've all quickly become some of my favorite youtubers! 🌲Hope you all have an incredible summer of adventure, joy and peace! 💚🌲
I had a dream after this that I was on a school field trip and Robby piloted a plane into the clouds where the whole class got out and went shopping for snacks at a Trader Joe's. Bravo great episode. Plus Thomas at the end was great and the Starcraft shoutout too. 3v3 BGH who's ready
That'll warm you up...any episode of Adventure Archives will do that! ☕Top notch cinematography guys! You really showcased that beautiful landscape as always. Nice to see the return of Andrew the fire God. 👍🔥🏕 Really enjoy when an older song like Memories of Summer makes another appearance. 🙌 The shoutouts were next level! 🤣🤣
I sat down and watched this whole entire video after work, well done on the production and filming, and I love all of your unique personalities and its very refreshing to watch!
All your vlogs are so surreal 😍 Seems like I'm hiking with y'all. Thank You so much for your efforts in making these vlogs. Btw, it looks so different in winter. Each season has its beauty though 😍
Hey guys. I am glad to see someone visiting my area. I only live 20 minutes from the gulf road. Just thought i would drop a line with some information for you all. Those footsteps you heard were real. You were camping in a sasquatch area. yes sasquatch. I have encountered them on the other side of the gulf and behind the Bridgestone farm. Keep an eye out. they mostly move at dusk or after dark. good luck on tour adventures.
I really enjoy starting my weekends with a cup of coffee and an AA show. This was a great episode, too ! I'll be going for a hike this afternoon :D I am interested in the name of Bryan's foldable bowl. I have never seen one like this, or any other for that matter lol. Cheers !
