"Until one of the youtube data center hamsters had a heart attack and the rounding error turned me into a functional channel in two weeks" Amazing work Goose, love the stuff! (happy to be in the first 1000 lol)
That's got to be the hottest take on Factorio I've come across and I think it's absolutely on point. And I like Factorio, but the "solve via deep dive into technical edge cases" is absolutely missing in a way that Minecraft shines over.
I'd say factorio mods (of the overhaul variety, like angel's/bob's mods) re-introduce this exploration of options, but not to the same extent as minecraft tech mods. I suppose sometimes "the jank" is more fun than a simple and reliable system purpose built for endless upscaling
Same reason I love the Create mod. Its the tools to solve unusual problems, but never tells you outright what those problems or puzzles are. That degree of freedom over finding a solution is why I always come back to Minecraft tech packs.
Factorio, indeed, is a recursive bucket list in 99% of cases. Wish there were a game that’d combine the unique requirements of problem solving with the sheer bulk/volume of factorio…
the way i like to see it is factorio gives you a lot more freedom in dealing with logistics whereas progression modpacks give you freedom in progression-path builds. pretty much every gregtech modpack requires you to use ae2; a teleporty logistics solution where you build a spanning tree of your base and it solves any and all item movement whereas factorio gives you more tools to play with to move things from point A to B. but packs like gtnh and divine journey give you enough parallel path solutions via mod interactions that there are multiple valid solutions of varying efficacy and it is up to the player to figure out what they want endgame gtnh kinda suffers here because you run out of interesting mechanics to mash together past ~UV and it's just Build Vast Fields Of Machine To Make Number Go Up without the QoL Factorio gives you to do that
Watching this guy spend 52 minutes just straight up building something while just talking genuinely is more relaxing than any minecraft content on this site has been
Streaming is not as enjoyable to watch as an edited episode IMO and I think the decision to stay with this format is a much better choice. Very much enjoying this series and looking forward to more!
Totally agree. I mean I think he can probably edit down streams to get the same videos as he does now, but I think gtnh skyblock and rl craft hsrdcore is probably plenty difficult on their own. Having to entertain a chat AND edit two series at the same time sounds difficult af. And honestly streams just aren't typically for me. Much of goose's content shines in the scripts he writes
so goose isn't just a creator that makes super high quality videos, they're also a really nice bird!!?!? I was totally not expecting the first question to be a couple minutes of explaining to someone how to set up GTNH with a server + void world. That's so unusually kind for youtube 'ask me questions!' videos.
If you want to engage in further masochism in future series, you could play Dungeons, Dragons, & Space Shuttles, official winner of my personal Most Hated Pack award. It introduces concepts such as fluid crafting, 5x5 crafting grids, and Gregtech-style crafting tools before you can get iron equipment, and it never, ever gets easier. (And that's not even getting into the massively buffed mobs.) You seem to be into torment, so this sounds up your alley. As for modern pack content, the flagship post-1.12 pack is probably Create: Above and Beyond (Create being the mod that finally convinced the modded community to move on from 1.12), but I haven't personally played it so I can't speak to its quality. I've found myself really enjoying FTB Integration By Parts DX, a 1.16.5 pack with a focus on oddball automation and weird cross-mod interaction, and uses in-world interaction and vanilla alchemy as core components of its progression system (a system that also doesn't include Create, uniquely enough). Its quest system is comprehensive and helpful, and it's altogether a really fun and interesting pack to play.
I have never been able to get C:AaB to work with PrismMC, and consider Create as a mod to be too corporate and soulless with how polished it is to be fun.
DDSS was my introduction to modded Minecraft and seeing GTNH kinda reminded me of that. Played DDSS with friends and broke the server when I picked up Blood Magic to work on. Good times.
@@Kuaikuachu None of those things contradict the mod being corporate, i.e. not in any way feeling like the people behind it actually care. The polishedness only contributes to this-consider how every version after 1.7.10 has a certifiably different _vibe_ to it than anything previous because it doesn't feel like it's been just slapped together because it's fun that way.
@@Blue-Maned_Hawk so a mod being polished means people behind it dont care about it? Also for your information, pretty sure create mod is inspired by the mods that basically gave birth to forge modloader such as buildcraft and better than wolves (as well as the game factorio). Minecraft updates and polishes and mods try to keep up with polishedness. If you cant accept it, at least dont call it basically bad for being polished.
28:21 If I may throw a guess to the wind, for me at least, your style of video making is a mildly-psychotic smoothie of rambling about whatever problem is currently being faced in game and providing a slapstick yet to-the-point-ish description of how you are solving or going to solve said problem, which ties into the gameplay in the background which would otherwise be rather bland without the first part, and topped off with a smidge of mental decay which leads to commentary that has the perfect levels of "what the duck" and "that makes sense." All that together is what keeps *me* engaged, since it feels like I can follow your thought process intuitively without even knowing the modpack myself.
Omg Goose not knowing what was meant with english or spanish at 38:20 and just genuinely awnsering is so sweet. Im honestly glad that Goose does not know lmao.
@@nikkiofthevalley The person asks english or spanish, the person then says "whoever moves first is gay" in whichever language the other person responds. It's gotten to the point where people recognize the set up just from the "english or spanish" part and just freeze in place.
21:05 this was my favorite moment from the greg series so far. an extreme build up over 2 episodes for a ruined climax that sat in the twilight zone of "is this a bit or did he really not know?" was so good.
Have you considered playing oxygen not included? It features multiple pathways to produce every important resource, which seems like what you are looking for. A no aquatuner or no steam turbine run might be interesting, as they are usually the main source of cooling.
To be fair Goose has absolutely inspired me to go back and give Nomifactory CEu a fair chance instead of “complicated, me no like”. There’s not too much cheese in that pack as far as I can tell, but still. So far I have not made it out of the tutorial and had to work around forgetting Compressed Cobble was a thing by saying to myself “Yeah, I totally wanted to make 32 Obsidian Furnaces later. For efficiency.”
that feel when you decide to pay attention to what goose is building in the background for a second and realize how massive it is. i am very afraid, the goblin energy is too high, may god have mercy on our souls
Mr. Goose seems like one of the only people who'd be able to find a meaningful difference between all the different gems, wood types, stone types, etc. in DF.
Fun fact, a substantial amount of rocks in general are just "we took silicon dioxide plus some random metal juice and twisted it turnways". Chalcedony? Silicon dioxide with metal juice. Quartz? Silicon dioxide, hold the metal juice. Quartzite? Silicon dioxide, shaken and stirred. Jasper? Lots of really teeny silicon dioxide that was sat on by a hippo for a few million years with extra metal juice. Opal? Silicon dioxide, side order of water. Agate? Silicon dioxide but with a side order of geological parasitosis. Those dwarves really need to stop being so judgmental.
28:27 If I can guess, part of the reason you’re so randomly successful is because of the niche you accidentally filled. Theres lots of gretech playthrus ongoing on youtube and they all have infrequent upload schedules or dont have much substance episode to episode. Whereas you have a regular schedule, with high density longform videos. Also the simple editing and thumbnails are just juxtaposing enough against the crap wave of everything else on youtube that it’s eye catching and different. I feel like Doshdoshington and IGBLON primed me for this kind of content 😂, but I suppose theres an element of nostalgia as well. So yeah a pretty sweet niche to fill, and you’re dang good at it! 🎉
Episode 22 the Yappisode. But for reals the factorio can be played in a similar way to your liking. One example would be how dosh( Dosh Doshington) plays factorio, especially his bean world and the apocalypse world. I would very much enjoy dosh style videos on factorio from you ;)
21:46 if there was any worry about spending a bunch of time on doing math and testing for a bunch of the video, I actually liked that a lot, it felt like we got some deeper insight on your testing, planning and thought processes in doing this, and even though the solution kinda ended up getting replaced immediately, I just felt kinda deflated about it WITH you as opposed to just in general, it definitely made the whole process feel a lot more real and relatable :D
I totally get the point about how Factorio tends to be a very streamlined experience compared to (usually older) MC Modpacks being full of depth and unique interactions. If you were open to suggestions, there are two mods I would suggest trying out for Factorio that might be closer to what you're looking for: 1) there has been a semi-recent release of a mod called Ultracube which turns Factorio from "expand, hit a bottleneck, expand" to a puzzle type of game where every tech basically asks for a base rebuild since you unlock so many new tools, and 2) a mod suite called Pyanadons, which I hear being regularly compared to GTNH on the Py discord(There are a ton of people who have concurrent runs in both lol.) It's an absolutely massive suite that's been in development for like a decade, and has a ton of optional (and mutually exclusive) paths that might scratch the itch of "looking for niche interactions." The BIG downside being that's its a beast of a run, new players usually finishing at around 1000 hours of playtime.
Funnily enough, I do the same thing, and there's a reason for it. "A" and "S are both letters under my left hand, while "L" is off on the other side of the keyboard. Only typing the last letters means that you don't have to take your hand off your mouse or look down and move your left hand across the keyboard.
If you dislike the mundane gameplay loop of factorio, consider a challenge or an overhaul mod. DoshDoshington has a ludicrous amount of videos on factorio that consists largely of what I just explained. When I thought of you playing factorio, the first thing I thought of was doshdoshington.
When the world needed him most, he returned. Edit: Goose giving a shockingly logical and thought-out explanation for the airplane food meme, which coincidentally had a nexus event in his q&a, was the most surprising yet welcome experience, honestly the kind of content i'm glad to be subbed for.
if you havent done much modded on newer versions, the modpacks these days are much more interesting than just after the split happened, so a small "goose tries out new version mods" side series might be interesting. Had a lot of fun both with "Create: Astral" and "Create: Prepare To Dye"
I too was gonna recommend Factorio, I should've expected that answer from seeing the mana pylons in this series and the torch crafting exploit in RLCraft! Other than that I would like to recommend the "Tinkers' Netherflat Challenge" modpack, It started in the SlimeKnights discord as "how far could you get in minecraft with just create and tinkers' construct in a superflat world made purely of crimson nylium and netherrack", It has since then gotten some changes to make it beatable (and slightly less grindy) while still trying to keep the interactions of vanilla minecraft and the two mods as the main method of progression, alongside some way to access otherwise unobtainable resources. It requires some level of knowledge of vanilla mechanics (or the capacity to read the advancements tab) to know how to progress early on but it is otherwise pretty short compared to other modpacks. Not sure if you would like it but I wanted to recommend it anyways, thanks the hour long video!
"I have a job and disposable income, I just never buy things??" Yep, I know that feeling too mate. It's so weird not actually wanting anything except like, a supercomputer or my own house to live in.
Hello there :) I also was thinking about offering you Factorio, as it is my passion, and what I wanna say - Factorio in terms of offering a problem is no different from modded Minecraft. Like, common GregTech is boring as hell, as all it does is "you have a problem, I have a black box that solves it, now go and grind for it". And common Factorio does "you have a problem, it's a simple one, now go and solve it in 3 minutes and then grind for it". But this challenge you're doing turns the table around GregTech and now you have to use all your knowledge to deal with it. And mods in Factorio do the same things - if a normal game is too boring for you, just go for a Seablock or Pyanodon or other great modpacks. Honestly, in Vanilla+ gaming (after beating the initial challenge offered by the game, which is launch a rocket), there are also some really interesting ways to solve problems, but modpacks make it even greater and also shift it from being optional to forced.
You don't *have* to run thorium reactors specifically for Lutetium these days, there are alternatives in more modern versions of the pack (though whether those are available in a GoG-style challenge specifically I couldn't confirm off-hand), but early reactors are still really good and I would recommend them. The best passive thorium design produces 5A HV per six chamber reactor, which in normal situations is great for taking your EBFs off of your probably starting to get strained to the point of being ripped to shreds fledgeling power infrastructure at that stage. And in any case part of the work you have to do one way or go out of your way to avoid doing later anyhow, might as well clean the plate early and get something out of doing so. And of course vacuum nukes - if you can get them to work consistently enough - are about the only reasonable way to get more than a rounding error worth of a trickle of power out what could easily be enough fission fuel to create a black hole. Essentia generation in GTNH, to my knowledge, comes in two forms. The single block generators that are so laughably pathetic I am genuinely amazed that anyone would consider using them, either in the context of normal play or in the context of a challenge run not specifically designed to make single block essentia gens shine by means of banishing every other power option to another dimension. Or maybe there's some kind of super secret tech with them I never realized, either/or. The second form is the multiblock Large Essentia Generator or LEG, which is all the disappointment of it's single block counterparts writ large if you don't know *precisely* how to make it go brr, and the second most absurd early to mid game power source that I'm aware of if you do. Hint: Fusewood is one such precise method. Considering the number one spot - that would be Lightning Rods - suffers from an unfortunate terminal case of murdering your performance when used at scale you could argue that LEGs are better. Your mileage may vary, though.
some questions: 1.Any plans for a discord server where the community could hang out and maybe document some of the cheese and jank that happens in the packs you play 2.Project ozone 3 mythic mode after this? 3. Since you did rlcraft hardcore, it would be fun to see you play infernal origins but using the survivalist class thank you for the great content our goose overlord
I haven't understood nearly anything you have said for the past 8 episodes but your ability to convey the info in a somewhat digestible way has made this series quite interesting and humorous.
(This was written towards the middle of the video) Openblock has a block called "Building Guide" that may help you in building 3D shapes, there's even an insta-build function for it in creative with some obsidian, which goes well with Schematica, a mod that let you save structure into blueprints and redeploy them elsewhere, including in another world, so you could build it all in creative, save it and use Schematica to rebuild it in this world. Draconic Evolution's Item Dislocator comes with a keybond to toggle it (under Draconic Evolution tab in Controls) besides right-clicking it in hand, the thing also supports Bauble now so one less inventory space occupied yay
I like this format. this is better than most people do community interaction tbh I like the idea of just doing basically a q&a like just randomly interspersed throughout the episodes semi rarely
if you don't like vanilla factorio because the problems solves themselves instantly, you could try the mod space exploration or the mod pyanodons which are largely considered some of the hardest mods offered by the community with brand new challenges to overcome.
I personally enjoy your content way more than the majority of modded minecraft youtubers because of its pacing. I only know of a couple others who capture my interest as much as you. A lot of modded minecraft series are slow with little editing which gets very tiresome to watch when you know the mods and aren't looking for a tutorial. Not only do you have the faster, instantly captivating editing, but you are also doing some of the most insane stuff i've ever seen in modded minecraft, while capitalising on mechanics that have been long forgotten. For me, this is the perfect combination of everything I want out of a modded minecraft series and because of it you are one of my favourite youtubers.
hello goose!! I'm a big fan of your channel and I'd like to nominate Terrafirmagreg (or another terrafirmacraft based modpack if you're, very understandingly, experiencing greg fatigue) as another challenge series! I'm personally having a lot of fun with the modpack and I'd love to see you do it as well! I hope you're having a good rest of your day 😼
loved your airline food explanation i think thats the reason why i keep watching you despite having little interest in the monumental amount of grinding and jury rigging you do in this series
honestly goose, i actually really liked the exploratory/number crunchy part of the botania mana search. you mentioned that your favorite thing in games like this is exploring your options and looking for solutions, and i think i speak for a lot of us when i say it’s fun watching you look for those solutions, so watching you eliminate botania flowers was more fun than you’d think
Damn, that point about Factorio is genuinely great. I desperately want to see a video game that is somehow intentionally built around the idea of jank. That'd be neat as heck.
I love how Goose is answering questions rather calmly... While in the background hes building a summoning circle to call upon the Gods who trapped him in the prison realm that was this void
Haha, that comment was so old, I'd forgotten I asked that question. But good to know that it would corrupt your world. Thanks for the taking the time to answer our questions. Was great to get to you know you better and your thoughts on various things. :D
My partner and I have been watching this and your RL craft series at night for a while - really love them! Fantastic stuff to unwind to, though I imagine it's not as relaxing on your end...
Gotta stop lurking real quick to tell you i love the series, and will love probably any series you make. Never do i catch myself watching a full 53 min q&a video but now i have :)
i love how i spent like a third of the video thinking "make an auto chisel dammit" really loud at the screen and somewhere in the later half he actually got it
When you talked about factorio and how you dislike automation games where you are given a laundry list of things to complete rather then finding, researching and putting together your own solution made me realize the problem I have had with a lot of factory/automation games nowadays. I was just never able to put my finger on it.
To add my own input as to why you've grown so much so quickly, I would say that you do a good job at balancing video pacing/entertainment with a regular upload schedule. Many other minecraft youtubers either are hyper active in their quest for viewer retention and thus scare many (like me) off from regular viewing, or they put in relatively little effort or knowledge in what they post and are thus boring while you strike a good balance in sustained watchability.
You mentioned you like what the more modern modding scene has become these days, and you would be willing to check it out. You also mentioned you wouldn't mind doing a series showing people what older Minecraft modpacks were like. I personally would love to see either of these as a series, either you trying out a modern modpack and discovering some of the amazing new stuff, or you revisiting older packs and showcasing the loveable barebones old days of modding.
I am so EXCITED for new RLCraft uploads lol. I tried watching other play-throughs from other creators but it just doesn’t quite scratch the itch of how yours are edited along with commentary etc.
I've seen some comments about this already about Factorio but I really do believe you would enjoy the modpack seablock. I had the same problem as you with Factorio where all the solutions are handed to you on a silver platter. But seablock doesn't really do that because you run into issues of 'Oh, I just don't have that. How the heck do I get that.' There is also a decent amount of cheese to find.
I have watched your RLcraft videos as well. And its the first time i see this kind of format with proper explanations on how you progress on said modpack. Its very refreshing content.
What a shame that you don't enjoy factorio, but your reasoning is perfectly understandable! If you ever thought of going back to it then, maybe try one of the various mods for it, Nullius or seablock especially should be a bit more up your alley. Then again, maybe the expansion might come around before you think of giving it another try!!
Great counterexample to the state of most engineering games on the market: zachtronic's engineering-puzzle stuff. I figure you've almost certainly already played them, Goose, but to anyone who feels similarly and hasn't, go give them a try!
I think this series is really fun to watch and it got me into gregtech which I actually really enjoy. Another game that I have enjoyed a lot (it does require a lot of spare time) is oxygen not included, which I think you would really enjoy. A fun challenge in that game is to try to get all achievements since the early game is much harder that way. Keep up the great work
Thank you so much for mentioning Big Dig. I was recently trying to find this mod pack because I loved playing it back in the day too and I could only remember the cover art. I'm going to download and play it now!
I liked the cap stone on Life isn't perfect. I also jive with that mention too much of social media and content online is pristine and over produced you don't see how the sausage is made and its making people forget that in fact people fuck up all the time. They forget things, they misunderstand, and the more complicated the topic, system, whatever is that only makes for more opportunities for things to go wrong and they will go wrong. I think it has created this unrealistic expectation in people they need to draw like someone that has been doing it since they were 11. Its a really nice reminder perfection isn't real and is something you shouldn't destroy yourself over.
Minor correction, the flight potion can be made with ANY statue, not just chicken ones. This is at least true in 2.5.1, I don't believe this is actually even a bug, so I don't know if "fixed" is an appropriate word, but I am fairly sure it wasn't changed for 2.6.
In the edge case that you do a Q&A again here are a couple questions i have! 1: Do you have a discord server or something of the sort that would be a good place to connect with other fans? 2: Whats your favorite game outside of Minecraft? Or is it even Minecraft? 3: If you are looking for new games, i have a few suggestions you might or might not have heard of. Oxygen not Included, Don't Starve or Don't Starve Together, and Lobotomy Corporation.
I heard why you disliked factorio. You are right about the automation, the creative problem solving is usually tied to logistics rather than machines. Also! You might like Oxygen Not Included. You need to design your machines if you want to do anything efficiently

Amazing work Goose, love the stuff!
Sometimes you just want to put together a giant and very expensive lego set with tens of thousands of pieces, that's how Factorio feels
Wish there were a game that’d combine the unique requirements of problem solving with the sheer bulk/volume of factorio…
the way i like to see it is factorio gives you a lot more freedom in dealing with logistics whereas progression modpacks give you freedom in progression-path builds. pretty much every gregtech modpack requires you to use ae2; a teleporty logistics solution where you build a spanning tree of your base and it solves any and all item movement whereas factorio gives you more tools to play with to move things from point A to B. but packs like gtnh and divine journey give you enough parallel path solutions via mod interactions that there are multiple valid solutions of varying efficacy and it is up to the player to figure out what they want
endgame gtnh kinda suffers here because you run out of interesting mechanics to mash together past ~UV and it's just Build Vast Fields Of Machine To Make Number Go Up without the QoL Factorio gives you to do that
Watching this guy spend 52 minutes just straight up building something while just talking genuinely is more relaxing than any minecraft content on this site has been
hes just got a soothing voice in a weird but good way
+1 for a Rimworld series, I'd watch the hell out of that.
Cheers to that
Cheers to that 2x
Each pawn is named after a different species of goose
Agreed
I'd go crazy for a Rimworld series!
Streaming is not as enjoyable to watch as an edited episode IMO and I think the decision to stay with this format is a much better choice. Very much enjoying this series and looking forward to more!
I agree, but that's mostly because edited content is condesed. Orange juice tastes better, when it is not watered down
Totally agree.
That's so unusually kind for youtube 'ask me questions!' videos.
absolutely agree, he seems like such a lovely person!
"it also leaks spiders" is a horrifying sentence I hope never to hear again
Goose, you have an eloquence i deeply respect. "portmanteuic puns", "as useful as a helium paperweight"...just brilliant.
The way that the audio setup encompasses the entire vibe of the series is great
If you want to engage in further masochism in future series, you could play Dungeons, Dragons, & Space Shuttles, official winner of my personal Most Hated Pack award.
I have never been able to get C:AaB to work with PrismMC, and consider Create as a mod to be too corporate and soulless with how polished it is to be fun.
how can a freely distributed, open source and adless mod be corporate? Also when did "polished" become a component of not-fun?@@Blue-Maned_Hawk
28:21
If I may throw a guess to the wind, for me at least, your style of video making is a mildly-psychotic smoothie of rambling about whatever problem is currently being faced in game and providing a slapstick yet to-the-point-ish description of how you are solving or going to solve said problem, which ties into the gameplay in the background which would otherwise be rather bland without the first part, and topped off with a smidge of mental decay which leads to commentary that has the perfect levels of "what the duck" and "that makes sense."
All that together is what keeps *me* engaged, since it feels like I can follow your thought process intuitively without even knowing the modpack myself.
Babe wake up! Neurotic Goose has uploaded!! 🗣️‼️
Omg Goose not knowing what was meant with english or spanish at 38:20 and just genuinely awnsering is so sweet. Im honestly glad that Goose does not know lmao.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing some Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress stuff in the future!
Those dwarves really need to stop being so judgmental.
i love the brief, "Can i get an angel ring yet?"

I've binge watched the whole series up to episode 19, then I waited for each upload. Loved it all the way through, keep it up!
can't believe he paid the cat tax before we could demand it
MC edit, that took me back to the old days of vanilla skyblock, good times
The new McEdit: a corrected printout of an essay crumpled up into a paper ball and stuck in a hamburger bun. Free red pen with every purchase!
... they don't use MC edit anymore? :(
Episode 22 the Yappisode.
Bit of a weird question, but what's your PFP from?
3:14
> wants to find glass
> types "ass" to the system
Oh my god, nice catch. Now it makes me wonder how much subtle stuff like this I've missed.
I thought I was the only one who saw that lol
Funnily enough, I do the same thing, and there's a reason for it. "A" and "S are both letters under my left hand, while "L" is off on the other side of the keyboard. Only typing the last letters means that you don't have to take your hand off your mouse or look down and move your left hand across the keyboard.
If you dislike the mundane gameplay loop of factorio, consider a challenge or an overhaul mod. DoshDoshington has a ludicrous amount of videos on factorio that consists largely of what I just explained. When I thought of you playing factorio, the first thing I thought of was doshdoshington.
Imagine pyanodons and se+k2 compatibility
Several episodes ago, I thought to myself, "Goose and DoshDoshington would be freinds" lol.
The excitement that filled my body when I saw the upload, the overflowing joy when I saw it was 53 minutes, AND just in time for lunch.
I think a rimworld playthrough would be great if its super difficult! Like permanent environmental conditions in a harsh environment!
Hello there :)
I also was thinking about offering you Factorio, as it is my passion, and what I wanna say - Factorio in terms of offering a problem is no different from modded Minecraft.
Since the addition of the essentia bee you can make 8M EU/t off one alveary with the LEG.
Wait DID I JUST WATCH 52 MINUTES it felt like a normal episode, wow...
The Power of Goose.
Thank you for showing us Jinx
some questions:
1.Any plans for a discord server where the community could hang out and maybe document some of the cheese and jank that happens in the packs you play
2.Project ozone 3 mythic mode after this?
3. Since you did rlcraft hardcore, it would be fun to see you play infernal origins but using the survivalist class
thank you for the great content our goose overlord
I haven't understood nearly anything you have said for the past 8 episodes but your ability to convey the info in a somewhat digestible way has made this series quite interesting and humorous.
Just at the right time for a relaxing evening. Thank you for the wonderful goose entertainment!
11:53 I deeply enjoy that your problem solving philosophy carries over between modded minecraft and real life.
(This was written towards the middle of the video)
Openblock has a block called "Building Guide" that may help you in building 3D shapes, there's even an insta-build function for it in creative with some obsidian, which goes well with Schematica, a mod that let you save structure into blueprints and redeploy them elsewhere, including in another world, so you could build it all in creative, save it and use Schematica to rebuild it in this world.
Draconic Evolution's Item Dislocator comes with a keybond to toggle it (under Draconic Evolution tab in Controls) besides right-clicking it in hand, the thing also supports Bauble now so one less inventory space occupied yay
A black cat named jinx is always cute
hearing MCEdit being described as a dinosaur of a program makes me realize just how old Minecraft is (and by extension how old I am)
As for the factorio point, you might enjoy some of the larger factorio mods more than the bade game if youre looking for problem solving
honestly goose, i actually really liked the exploratory/number crunchy part of the botania mana search. you mentioned that your favorite thing in games like this is exploring your options and looking for solutions, and i think i speak for a lot of us when i say it’s fun watching you look for those solutions, so watching you eliminate botania flowers was more fun than you’d think

Whoever this “Greg” guy is must be pretty happy that people are dedicating hundreds of hours to his modpack and the various iterations of it.
I tried watching other play-throughs from other creators but it just doesn’t quite scratch the itch of how yours are edited along with commentary etc.
you are the only modded minecraft content i can enjoy inside a massive modded minecraft burnout and i think that's beautiful dawg
I’d love to see a “breaking of” series, for any modpack it’s entertaining to watch progression be dropped kicked out of the window like in this series
We love the consistent upload schedule
Nearly a full hour of gregtech, we are blessed this day
Ooh I'm liking the look of the new dome, can't wait to see how you decorate it for real
I'm so glad you took my suggestion for using the flight potions :)
Keep up the great work
This guy really just sat down one day and decided "im gunna do youtube for funsies" and instantly became a smash hit with the modded community.
Thank you so much for mentioning Big Dig. I was recently trying to find this mod pack because I loved playing it back in the day too and I could only remember the cover art. I'm going to download and play it now!
I was not expecting the new base to look so good!! And don't take that as me expecting it to look bad
Goose could probably read the GregTech wiki and I'd still be here for it
I liked the cap stone on Life isn't perfect.
Its a really nice reminder perfection isn't real and is something you shouldn't destroy yourself over.
if you are up for it, i would LOVE to see a compact claustrophobia series. seems right up your alley!
You need to design your machines if you want to do anything efficiently
creating holy geometry while answering questions is an interesting tactic to keep attention
noted!
