This ankle motion makes sense and is helping. I’ve been play for years and just never could keep up fast db very long. And tapping my feet as fast as I can is frustrating and pissed me off to the point of me thinking I’m just not kinda drummer. I know there’s a certain feel to this but I can’t find it currently. I can’t just start at a fast pace without building it up and that’s no good. I’ve struggled with this for so so long. But I feel like I’m so close but there’s just one key thing I’m missing but I can’t figure out what.
Hi. I have the speed cobras as well. I am learning ankle technique and it really bothers me that I have to play so far back on the pedals. I've tried every setting to try and get me feet towards the middle/front of the footboard, but it is so difficult with these pedals. My heel hits the heel plate. Have you been able to get your feet further forward on these pedals? I noticed most fast players have shortboards or longboards with no heel plate. I'm debating on getting different pedals if I can't figure this out. Thanks.

If I play slower tempos Im much more comfortable at the back of the pedal. At around 170-180bpm I move my feet to the middle of the pedals.
