I mostly play support and I can confirm generally people will blame you when they literally kill themselves or get one shot or don't say anything when your team win the game because tanks/dps always get play of the game so "you are the one getting carried." Sometimes it feels not rewarding enough, specially when the enemy team is full of divers or your team is a complete mess, but it's the most fun role by far.
Can agree. I love hearing in voice chat how shit their supports are. After both supports died to genji and doom diving with no help. Or they are fighting in a little room away from everyone. Like I can't heal through walls bro.
Supports get blamed when people kill themselves or get one shot? No they don't 🤣🤣 I agree with the spirit of your comment, but boy did you make up some BS 🤣🤣 Supports never get PotG? I get PotG close to 20% of the time I play Bap. For sure more than 10%, FOR SURE. It's rare I play a session of OW without at least one PotG and it's rare I play 10+ games in a session so... What are you smoking?
Depends on support. Some FEEL impactful even with low stats and some don’t feel impactful with 15k heals 9k damage and 30 elims 😂 Ana for me always FEELS impactful, Moira NEVER does.
I actually can’t agree more with you, like it’s actually crazy. Specially me as a Lucio main it’s so difficult to get those player of the game moments. And every problem that happens is my fault. -Lucio you’re not healing enough (5k) when the other has 7k -Lucio you’re not doing enough damage -Lucio you only have 11 kills When the only thing Lucio players are meant to do are speed teammates in and out of fights and speed them from spawn to the fight so we can get help quicker. And maybe dive into the back line every now and then to get the occasional kill on a dps.
I’m a support main with no friends. I’ve been stuck in silver/ bronze for years watching lone dps jump into an entire enemy team alone looking for a potg 😢
@limitless4375 I have never been that low. But I will tell you as a solo support main it is possible. You just have to realize your mistakes and correct them. Know when you need to switch. Dps is garbage? Switch to Moira and help with the kills. Enemy Ana is constantly throwing grenades at your team? Switch to Kiriko and nullify it. I say this because Bronze rank can easily be won as a support that has game sense. Bronze players tend to lack game sense and when they even taste silver or even gold that lack of game sense hinders them from moving up. If you want to main one support you NEED to watch guides and tips from higher level players about that hero so you can have a great understanding of the heros kit. I'm being dead honest when I say this. But people who are stuck in bronze usually have the skills to be there. Also a tip always rewatch your games and see what you're doing wrong and what you can do to correct it. I have a friend who is stuck in bronze so she tend to play mystery comp and even then she is still stuck in bronze. That is because she lacks game sense. Doesn't realize when a fight is obviously lost and that she should disengage from a fight, being out of position, not completely utilizing her heros kit, or will sit there and run to point just to be the only one contesting (never do that, even with 1 min left on the clock wait until your team comes back, running to point just to die is common low level mistakes). I'm not trying to harp on you. But I want to make sure you know that blaming your team is a waste of your energy, always look at what YOU can do better. I learned that when I was stuck in real elo hell Platnium. Taking accountability for my actions and correcting then gave me a taste of top 500. In 2 season I went from being stuck in Plat for what seemed like forever to being a consistent GM player. And that's solo que. Always take breaks and realize when you are tilting. If you want to rank up you have to do these things. It will help you succeed. I promise
@@Raid_3011 10 Hours is just enough time for like what, 2 or 3 rankups? Gold 1 isn't bad considering they have almost no support experience, and its not like supports can hard carry games.

Coming from an Ana main with 82 hours just on her alone, it’s great to see that people are slowly realising it’s not always the support at fault, overwatch is healing haha
I thought it was common sense that support was the hardest. As a support main, the pure relaxation I feel when I play dps or tank is crazy. You have to simultaneously keep yourself and your team alive all the while dealing additional dmg.

you can also adjust her zoom sensitivity in the settings to be the same as your unzoomed aim - will make you much better at aiming with literally everyone!
support is probably the hardest role to play since you have to multitask on characters like ana but sometimes it's just heal bot like mercy or weaver, but it takes time and skill to actually get good at them. Then there's also people complaining that they're not getting heals when they're either behind a wall, too far away from you, or running away from you. Sometimes it is a supports fault tho. Got into a round w a kiriko who only had like a thousand heals (maybe less) and 3000 something damage
