Bruce, I am new at spraying lacquer. I have a small project where I want to spray a toner coat. How do you mix your toners? Dye/stain versus lacquer versus thinner etc.

i add the dye stain to lacquer thinner ,mix it up ,not to rich on the stain ,but stronger on the color and light on the thinner ,you will need to get to the color with a few passes of shadier, you don,t want the color to weak or to strong it better to get the color with a few passes, then to be to dark with one pass ,also test out the color on a lacquer board first, to get a feel for the color and if its to strong or to weak ,if the toner seems to week add more color if its to strong add more thinner ,,the color is best when you can get the color ,but need to spray a few coats of shadier to reach the tone you like .

thats amazing work bruce, you are a talented craftsman, do you do the internals to the radios, or do you work with someone who does?
