I've been watching some of your videos and it's pretty amazing I had no idea thier was so much that goes into making fireworks I've always been fascinated with fireworks and would like to do small shows and possibly make fireworks also I'm wondering how long it takes to get a ATF approval
Thank you for the reply sir honestly after watching the way you put assemble some of these and do it so perfect and then get to injoy seeing your own creations gives me the drive to do it I've always been interested in doing it but seeing a master at work like yourself inspires me even more thank you sir
Fireworks keeps us humble, Eric. I've had as many failures as successes on the way to making some satisfying devices. I think that any fireworker who has had any success would say the same. It is an art which most folks would say about "man, I had no idea anyone could even do themselves..." But, it can be a fulfilling art/hobby if one pursues carefully with dedication. Best, ned
@@garymoore9650, 800 is only a scratch if your caught doing it illegally. Hell I'm working part time labor and 800 isnt that much to spare, if you do a great job you can also do shows, and shows even small ones mean some money.
I have been enjoying your series. I have been doing professional pyrotechnic displays for a few years and I am looking into making my own in the future. You might want to look into weighing by difference since it makes it easier to accurately weight with less chance of contamination. Thanks for making this series!
I like the little paper Dixie for larger quantities. I use disposable plastic teaspoons a lot.

One can get a User's Permit or Manufacturing License within a few months, from the ATF, Eric, as long as all the ducks are in a row. Good luck.

What kind of material should the mixing tub, for star compositions (any and all kinds) be made of?
I use stainless steel pots, and/or plastic buckets/lids.
Ned what screen did you use on the beginning of this video mesh Grade?
A 40-mesh screen works well for that, AW.
@@nedgorski Thanks Ned for all these educating videos!. 👍
