It won’t be, thanks to Top Gun Maverick and the Avatar sequel getting nominated. And the return of audiences to the megaplex. And last year’s Will Smith-Chris Rock incident. Will something like that happen this year? Will cops have to go on stage and place an Oscar winner in handcuffs and perp walk them out of the auditorium in front of a worldwide television audience? No, the ratings should be much higher for today’s broadcast.
