once again a beautiful drive to accompany my V-Cycling regime. Many thanks for leaving the original ambient sound on the video- lovely to hear bird song as we drive past. The Alps are truly breath taking

Great road! Thanks. On my first ride over, there was so much cloud/fog at the top that I didn't see the turnoff to the Edelweissspitze. Had maybe 20 meters of visibility. Later rides over had better weather.

Such amazing views 🌤💙 - great you were lucky about the weather after all! BTW, I've been twice in my life to Kaiser-F.-J.-Höhe but never reached Edelweissspitze - the narrow road up there is awesome, thanks for this drive 👍🚗👍!

This should be filmed around 7 to 9 am. Please also check the following video of a trip on the same road in the opposite direction in the afternoon on a different day. ruclips.net/video/cggJfDB28oc/видео.html

May I ask how long is the driving duration from the start point to the end? Should we allocate 4 hours of traveling time, which includes the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe which closes at 3.30pm. Do you know if it opens later during July 2024? Is it also better to go in the afternoon or early mornings?

It is approximately two hours driving although you should count on plenty of stops for the views and attractions. It is open all summer and it doesn’t matter if you go morning or afternoon. Weather will determine that. It is a remarkable road and the sights are amazing taking you up to 2,500metres.

Wonderful video! By the date of “2023/7/4”, do you mean July 4 or April 7? I ask because I’ll be at Munich in the first week of July 2024. I’m contemplating driving the same route as yours, but I wonder if the snow atop the mountain has already disappeared.
