Thank you so much! I was so confused on the relativity to ground when the person is walking sideways, but you just cleared my confusion right up! Thanks Professor.

Great question. The angle the object subtends across your eye as it moves is how you interpret speed. When the object is farther away, even moving at the same speed, it looks slower because the angle is less. Cheers, Dr. A
velocity is distance in a period of time, a guy walking sideways would generate a longer distance than when he is at rest on a train, a greater distance in same period of time means faster greater velocity

The best Physics teacher in the World !!!
Thanks for that. I highly doubt it, but I appreciate the sentiment.

Felt comfortable and easy to grip the concepts delivered by prof
Thanks sir this explanation helped a lot💢. You are the best 💯
Hi sir i really enjoyed your tutorial. i'm interested in astrophysics and would like to ask some more questions
Yeah
You know how to rock dynamix

Dear professor!
Why we see an object which is in faraway with less velocity than the closer one?

Are you writing backwards the whole time?
Vpe=31.6 mph Vte=30 difference is there. person is standing in same train. So why velocity relative to earth is different??? Sir ans pls
that's when the person is moving sideways

Wow, so clear but I wish there were some examples. Either way, great video.
Excellent
Great to hear. Keep up with the physics.

@@yoprofmatt why for the second case you were considering Pythagoras theorem... Why not not subtract it vectorially, which will give you 20 not 31.
@@shuvashishsharma1299 he is moving sideways in that case
thank this helped so much preparing for a physics test
