Fire Starter is one of my personal Favorite films as a child and still has a special place in my heart. After all of these years, and I’ve also liked Cats Eye especially as a cat lover as well. 🐾🔥🧡
Do you know what I just realized remember it being called back in time travel into the office box office post office box office in movie part of the day away magic of WB studio's and universal studios hollywood movies on the best part
I gotta say that I am impressed with what kind of a wonderful human being in Stephen King as a great writer and visionary. I also admit to have read only one novel that he wrote called "The Running Man" though under his famous pseudonym "Richard Bachman" and I enjoyed it more than the 1987 film with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I hope that the upcoming "remake" in 2025 will do right with the original novel as it was meant to be and NOT as a another different type of movie like the 1987 version.
Drew was really smart to bring up the term "physical distancing." I heard someone suggest that last year and I thought that was a much better term to use. "Antisocial" is such a negative term with negative connotations and "social distancing" sounds way too similar to it.
Firestarter and Cat's Eye introduced me as a kid to both of these wonderful artists. Great memories and so nice to see them reunited all these decades later.
Omg, not many people can call up Stephen King and have him for a guest! My favorite writer of all time!!💖 It was so hilarious watching Drew roll off the sofa!😂
I'm beginning to fall more in love with your show Drew Barrymore. Thank you for making this happened especially during the pandemic. Can't wait until all this is over and one day we can get back to the hugs and kisses especially to the people we missed the most.👊🥰✌
Sweet Drew Barrymore I love your reaction to getting well deserved warm fuzzies. Positive vibes from New Hampshire and remember to be kind to each other and yourself during this pandemic and social crisis
This is brilliant love the films Drew made with Stephen King. I always thought it a shame that both Drew didn't make a film with Speilberg or King in her later years. As an actress she has retained an emotional truth there's no better actor when it comes to expressing emotions.
I have an unabridged version that I used to read about every 3years...you're right...it hits too close to home, right now. Positive vibes from New Hampshire and remember to be kind to each other and yourself during this pandemic and social crisis
Firestarter shaped my psyche as a kid in the best possible way and I've watched it with my own 10 year old. I can't explain how much I love that movie. Cat's eye was awesome, too. I even had a cat named General.
I use to work in a store in Naples, Florida. Stephen king use to shop there. He was always polite when someone asked him for an autograph, but tried to stay incognito at the same time.
Good gods, Drew fricking Barrymore is 46 YEARS OLD?!? I remember first seeing her as a tiny tot in "E.T."! Thanks for making me feel ancient & decrepit, hon! :-)
I couldve sworn Firestarter came out in 1984 and Cats Eye 1985. She said it was 82 i wonder if she got that wrong? Anyhoo i loved those 2 movies she was so young and talented❤
This man wrote the first book i ever read. Salems lot. He is an inspiration and one reason i also write. I was actually told by my writing teacher in highschool that horror is a dead genre and king was a fluke. My first book is dedicated to that teacher lol
I tolerate the sequel, because I own the double dvd set. However I’ll always love and have a special place for the original Fire-starter Film, along with the fantastic soundtrack. 💫💛🔥
Can she just have one segment where she doesn't pretend to be all dramatic and emotional? Or is that just flat out required to have a talk show? Good God.
Automatic subscribe! "Firestarter" was my first SK novel, and changed my perception of his work. Now, my edition has Drew on the cover, and I did read it before I could see the movie, so I imagined Drew as Charlie all the time. When I actually got to see the movie, well in my thirties, it was so... natural. Being a "writer wannabe" myself, I've adopted Mr. King as a sort of teacher, and that novel was the starting point. About "The Stand", yes it was a "double tap" creepier that he sort of predicted the pandemic (the truth is, a lot of writers AND experts did as well), but that's two out of two: He predicted a Greg Stillson too. I was already freaking out when all of this started. I'm not a positive person, and in fact I've been accused of the exact opposite. But I can't stop thinking there's a lesson that should be learned from this, exactly like a "subtext" in a Stephen King book. It's gonna be SO good when we can get back together, all of us, and have "normalcy" again, but I really, really hope we remember how much we missed it and why. Great video! And now, on to the next one...
Yeh so weird. If you wanna just get prediction of the what the world came too.just read a Steven King novel especially the shining and the Stand that how i feel some days with this pandemic. Yeh social isolation can drive ya crazy. Steven King probably has ESP or meduim and it comes out in his books, be nice if we can hug each other again.
I think romance stories could ignore the reality of masks and distancing. They already present us with fantasies that don't happen in real life. Successful, wealthy and improbably beautiful women don't just walk away from their dream jobs to move to a small town and marry a rugged, single father landscaper or whatever nonsense movies reheat and serve us.

Loving this talk show ! Drew has such an amazing personality she seems like she would be such an good friend to have ! 🇫🇷
Yes!!🤘🏾😃💫

Love Drew!!🌹❤️ the way she fell out on the floor so funny... Stephen such an amazing author!! ❣️
Drew is such a lovely person. Seems genuinely nice.

The social distancing question is such a good question! I never thought about it that way
Drew is soooo amazing!!!
Love you Drew, and love Stephen King, he is an amazing storyteller.
Sweet Drew Barrymore I love your reaction to getting well deserved warm fuzzies. Positive vibes from New Hampshire and remember to be kind to each other and yourself during this pandemic and social crisis
This is so wholesome
Love, love Stephen King. Have read most of his books if not all of them. Always waiting for the next one.
So I’m 25 and did not grow up with these movies and now I will definitely watch them 😍
I’m 45 the first Stephen King movie I saw was Carrie and I was hooked on everything and only him
And his son joe hill
Firestarter is awesome!!! Cats Eye kinda sucks and not worth a viewing, IMO.
@@watsonrn cats eyes is great you have no taste
I liked when she pushed her hair back… you can see her pretty face. Btw, my entire family has loved Stephen King for decades…
About time I see her talking about Firestarter. It's usually always about ET. Firestarter was one of my favorite movies with her.
This is brilliant love the films Drew made with Stephen King. I always thought it a shame that both Drew didn't make a film with Speilberg or King in her later years. As an actress she has retained an emotional truth there's no better actor when it comes to expressing emotions.
Or made more movies with Wes Craven (R.I.P)
They should've made a sequel with drew now being a mother of a special child to have the story continue from then!
Two amazing human beings.
Firestarter was big for me at that age, very formulative.
Stephen King is my favorite author. The Stand is my favorite book. It frightened me because it can happen. And now...
I have an unabridged version that I used to read about every 3years...you're right...it hits too close to home, right now. Positive vibes from New Hampshire and remember to be kind to each other and yourself during this pandemic and social crisis
I read The Stand for the first time last year, and it gave me nightmares! Couldn't have chosen a better book for quarantine
This is the interview I've been waiting for 😭❤
I'm gonna need Keanu Reeves to come on the show to talk about filming Babes in Toyland
I uploaded the singing scene in the car on my other RUclips channel years back. That would be great to see Keanu and Drew together again.
I want Jill Schoelen actually
cats eye was fantastic
Firestarter shaped my psyche as a kid in the best possible way and I've watched it with my own 10 year old. I can't explain how much I love that movie. Cat's eye was awesome, too. I even had a cat named General.
Stephen King 🙌🏼
I just saw this on Hulu recently. One of my favorite Stephen King’s flicks.
Stephen King! The legend! I love you!
Firestarter is the bomb.
I just love u so much Drew!
Drew 😍😍😍😍
Heather Locklear in Firestarter was my first crush
Played her mother so wild right?
Stephen King is the King!
I have never heard of Firestarter. Time to watch it now.
I’ve watched Firestarter a thousand times. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid, even though it scared the hell outta me. 😂
Firestarter so sad I read the book seen the movie she was so cute in it
Don't go in with high expectations. If you just do what you can to have fun watching you'll find it enjoyable 😊
Like almost any King adaptations, don't expect the world and you'll probably enjoy yourself.
I'm getting his new crime book 'later' today, amongst others. Love this guy.
Edit: and you too, Drew. :)
Stephen king the scariest writer
I can honestly say the only time I've ever had a nightmare while reading a book, was from a Stephen King book.
I watched Firestarter and Cat's Eye since I was a teenager in early-2000's.
Amazing job 👏🥰🥰
I use to work in a store in Naples, Florida. Stephen king use to shop there. He was always polite when someone asked him for an autograph, but tried to stay incognito at the same time.
Great combo, Stephen and Drew of course
Thank you for the video.
Good gods, Drew fricking Barrymore is 46 YEARS OLD?!? I remember first seeing her as a tiny tot in "E.T."! Thanks for making me feel ancient & decrepit, hon! :-)
I would have loved to have seen the inside of that awesome house King used to live in.
great share x

wow! Mr. King still has the GEN1 Ipod 👍
💕

Does Stephen King have an ipod on his desk? Awesome!
♥️✌️
I grew up with Firestarter and heated the new ones and that they didn't use Drew's footage!!
I tolerate the sequel, because I own the double dvd set. However I’ll always love and have a special place for the original Fire-starter Film, along with the fantastic soundtrack. 💫💛🔥
1:45, fiction is fantasy, correct?

The greatest most important writer?..Ernest Hemingway might take issue with that..😂..
