    First of all, I am so glad that is am not the only one that still uses a salad shooter! Second, and most important, thank you for sharing your routines. It's really nice to see how you can modify the fly lady to make it yours, makes it seem that much more attainable. 🙂

    Hi Amy! I'm a FlyLady fan, too! I love her book & just love her routines. 💗. I like this kind of vlog from you as well as your plan with me vlogs. Would be interested in any vlogs you want to do: cooking, what I eat for breakfast, or a week's worth of meals, more depth ideas for organizing a planner. You are doing great ! Thank you for all the great ideas and tips you give me. Xo Joanie

    You really have your act together, and you are so sweet and humble about it. ❤️ When you do start a family, you're going to be so happy that you started your routines early. I discovered Flylady so many years ago, when she had about 500 subscribers, and I had two kids. Her system really works, and I still implement it as best I can.

    I've been using my monthly zone cleaning tracker based off of yours, and it is working beautifully. Thanks for the idea. I've been following flylady for at least 15 years and I love her system. I find my morning routines are easier for me than the afternoon/evening routine. I get tired by the end of the day, but I keep trying.

    Never heard of Flylady, but your routines mirror mine, I'm naturally neat and tidy so picking up as I go has been a lifelong habit. I enjoyed your videos. Oh! I almost forgot, I used to wipe my cats down regularly so that my furniture stayed clean (not fur free), but free of dust. I kept a huge pile of white bar towels handy and when the cats came in from playing outside I'd get two towels wet (two per cat), microwaved them warm, and then give the cats a wipe down from head to toe. The cats would line up in the kitchen and wait their turn and they'd purr like crazy as I cleaned them so it must have reminded them of their mom licking them clean. This added one extra load of towels to my weekly laundry, but my furniture and carpets stayed clean.

      AZHITW That’s a great tip! I have a cat that likes when I rub my wet hands on her. I’ll try that with a towel. She doesn’t go out much though. ☺️

    • @peterpiper5300
      @peterpiper5300 5 лет назад

      do you remove the fur from the towel before you throw it in the washing machine?

    • @dakotaridgek9
      @dakotaridgek9 5 лет назад

      I love that idea! I belong to 5 cats, although we now live the city life so they unfortunately are indoor only. At some point I’m sure I’ll be out in the country someday. When I am, I can’t wait to try that method. Microwaving the wet towels is genius! Thank you!!

    I noticed that you put your toilet brush back in the holder right away. I learned from a couple of places on RUclips (Clean My Space mainly I think?) to leave the brush to drip dry by wedging it under the toilet seat for maybe 30 minutes before putting it back to prevent things getting too gross in the holder. Like the video!

    • @plansmeetpaper3663
      @plansmeetpaper3663  7 лет назад +2

      That's a good idea. I keep my toilet bowl holder full of cleaner so it doesn't usually get gross. I may need to try that trick though too!

    Can you tell me what hand shredder you used for the potatoes and onions? We have a giant food processor and literally only use it to grate a giant block of cheese once a month. It has sliced my husband's finger badly and cut me too. I would love to get it out of my house! Yours looks so much easier to use for what we need. Thanks!

    How do you clean in your work clothes without ruining them? I'm always such a hot mess when I clean! Also, what seasoning did you put on the potatoes and what time/temp did you bake them?

    • @plansmeetpaper3663
      @plansmeetpaper3663  7 лет назад

      If I am doing anything messy I wear an apron! Also, if I am doing a lot of cleaning on any particular day I will wear jeans and a t-shirt instead of work clothes, I just try not to wear "lounging" clothes because they make me feel lazy! I used garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, pepper, and a dash of cayenne. I bake them at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or so. They come out super crispy and yummy if you use a metal pan with baking paper.

    Just wondering what chores your husband has to maintain your home.? Does he take care of the outside?

    • @plansmeetpaper3663
      @plansmeetpaper3663  7 лет назад

      He helps quite a bit with laundry and dishes. He also always does the mowing. He works a lot of hours in his current job though, so I do more chores right now! When I was working the same hours as him in the past, we split the work more evenly. I hope that makes sense! =)

    • @vi9763
      @vi9763 7 лет назад

      PlansMeetPaper It does. It's always a struggle to try to split the responsibilities. When you said it was so nice of him to fold your laundry it sounded like you had specific chores and he was doing one of yours :)

    • @plansmeetpaper3663
      @plansmeetpaper3663  7 лет назад +1

      Sometimes I just use my timer to help myself get started. If I don't feel like cleaning, I tell myself "just do 15 minutes" and it helps me stay motivated and focused!

    • @plansmeetpaper3663
      @plansmeetpaper3663  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Christina,
      This division of chores is just what works for us right now. Between my job at school and RUclips/ Etsy, I usually work about 40-45 hours per week. Right now my husband usually works about 60-70 hours a week. I try to do some extra work around the house so that we can have more time to do fun things when he does get off work. He is a super hard worker though and would totally do more of the house work if I was working a lot of overtime =) Thanks for watching!

    • @christinapither6963
      @christinapither6963 7 лет назад +2

  • @christinapither6963

    Also..he's not really folding the laundry 'for you' is he? Presumably it's half his? 😬

    • @knitterglee
      @knitterglee 7 лет назад +4

      That bothered me too 😕 Especially with both spouses working, nobody is doing chores "for anyone." They pitch in. It might seem minor, but once you have kids, you're going to be modeling behavior for them, and you don't want them growing up thinking the house is women's work even when they have a job outside the home.

  • @wishlizz

    I hope I am not offend you but why do you put the dog in the kennel while you at work? My in laws normally leave their dog in the house when they are out.

    • @plansmeetpaper3663
      @plansmeetpaper3663  7 лет назад

      He gets anxious and paces (I have watched him on our doggy camera) around if we give him free reign of the house and then he is stressed and tired when we get home. He likes his kennel and just naps all day if we put him in there while we are gone. We leave on music for him and he just seems so much more relaxed and happy this way when we get home. I think when he is loose in the house he feels like he has to be a guard dog or something! He gets jumpy about every little noise. He gets a ton of exercise in the morning and afternoon so I think he likes feeling secure and napping when we are gone. I need to work with him on not stressing out when he's alone but this is working for us for now! =)
