      @@DanniDuck they've shown a rocket, icbms are only useful because of their MIRV capabilities anyone can make a rocket, not everyone can get mirv staging done correctly

    Realistically they will build 5 or 6 of them for location with head of government and multiple army HQs and let the other thousands ICBMs land on "non-critical" locations

      There is 40 of them currently operational. They’re able to protect the entire United States

    When they test a missile, do they make another? because that one exploded on the test

    • @NoniJen
      @NoniJen 3 года назад +2

      Yes. Both missile’s land in the Pacific Ocean.
      Democratic Party screams about the military allocated so much $$. However, these tests cost billions of dollars. Without testing them we’d definitely have the underhand to other countries Missile Defense.
      Typically it’s a political yo-yo between the two parties agreeing on the $$ amount allocated to the military.
      That’s why you would hear Trump say, “I’m going to bring back the depleted military and the bring home many soldier’s who are deployed “. (Which he did).
      Props to President Trump for starting a new branch- Space Force. The command center will be located in Huntsville, Alabama which is known for the Space and Missile Defense Command- SMDC.
      Huntsville is VERY excited about that decision!! Whoo Hoo!!!

    I would guess that the KKV had some "help" from the target, in previous tests the KKV had the coordinates of the target and the target also had an "enhanced" IR signature to help the KKV locate it. Even then the KKV was unable to find the target, but at least we can see the evolution of BMD in real time, reliability will come over time.

    Am I the only one noticing the "within an hour" comment? I thought these icbm take roughly 20 min from launch to target? Something smells fishy

    If we intercept a nuclear missile, does the nuclear warhead still go off?

    • @user-ge7ur6hq6s
      @user-ge7ur6hq6s 2 года назад

      probably not since the fission reaction needs to begin before the fusion can begin, yielding a nuclear blast. but idk im not a rocket scientist

    • @momentary_
      @momentary_ 2 месяца назад

      If the arming mechanism stays intact, then yes. This is really about making sure the warhead doesn't go off on American soil.

    Great, they made it with just 1 ICBM, what about if enemy launches multiple ICBM at the same time?... Even worse, what about if they are Mach 5-9 hypersonic missiles...? EEUU does not have that technology developed as China and Russia.

      Hi Your mastery of the english language is terrible, much like your anti-American rethoric which is based of your own hate and prejudice. You are defending a nation which still throws people into concentration camps to have them starved, killed and tortured. A well grown adult doesn't need to be jealous of a fat 5-year old bully who can launch toy rockets. Oh btw, I am not even American. Not from the west either
