Hi Danny! 😀 my mother’s spathoglottis is planted on pure soil and it’s blooming all the time. It never went dormant - leaves, new growths and flowers grow together, maybe because we dont have winter in the Philippines. I got a division and planted it in semi hydro and it adapted right away. 🙂 Yours is very interesting. 😀 I bought her a small jewel orchid long time ago and it had grown well on pure soil also. Im going to show your video to her because we dont have internet there.

Yes the first terrestrial bulbs that you re-potted look like strange ufos. I have not seen those orchids but it just seems like it is like planting a type of flower bulb. The Gem orchid look beautiful with the orchids. My parents use to have one which my mom loved. The last one I am interested in seeing what the orchid will look like. If it is like the catasytium then I feel it will look wonderful. I have yet again learned a lot from you with all your tips and tricks. Mya and Joey look lovely and it is so nice that you allow them to fly around the grow room. Enjoy them and have a great day.

Thanks for making this video. I have a terrestrial orchid that needs to be repotted as it is outgrowing the pot. I was thinking of using a shallow dish like you selected. Now I'll get one and go ahead with the work. Love seeing the 'girls'.
We learn by doing-sometimes plants have to die! These pseudobulbs didn’t all rot, so this is a success! Maya is so sweet! Was she laughing? My Angel (Cockatoo) is a real comedian, and she laughs, but I didn’t think doves could?

I got the same ludisia discolor in the same nursery pot in France it was a NIGHTMARE to repot them !! My mix doesn't have as much perlite as yours I wanna redo the whole thing lol I wish I found a basket like yours too ! I got something not too deep but it's not as wide, it looks crowded kinda I hope it grows anyway. Thank you for your tips !

So happy to see you dealing with the Ludisia Discolor. I'm still debating if I want to repot mine or if she should chill out till spring. Also, Let me just say that there miiiiiight be some plans to install an extra shelving unit in my indoor jungle to hold my ever growing orchid collection and yes, I blame you for it :D

Hi Danni! Always love your wonderful videos! I have some terrestrial orchids like oncidums, some zygopetilums etc, but I don’t know what kind of orchid soil to use as I’ve never repotted these kinds of orchids. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you so much!
Please, could you tell more about spathoglottis? Mine seems to do finde, but she grows so extremly slow! Do you have any experiences in fertilizing an dormancy?

I have 2 ground orchids (calanthe tripilcata and spagholottis plicata) and both of them have bloomed
